Knowledge they say is power. When you know something, you talk about it with confidence. Knowledge canât be gotten from anywhere unless we learn it. I have always had my notion that if you want to learn something, get involved. Br a part of it and you will gain every bit of the knowledge you want. I canât thank our leaders much for such an amazing contest this is. Letâs learn about hive. Well, follow me as I share what I know about hive. Itâs not legit though. Itâs just my thought and open for correction. Itâs a learning process to be a part of this contest.
I will start by explaining what blockchain is, blockchain is a series of blocks chained together to function as one. Each block contains data that keep this whole thing running. One thing about these blocks is that nothing on them can ever be deleted. So learn today that, âNothing ever leaves the blockchain.â Now to web3, web1 to web2 which then evolved to web3. Let me take web2, web2 is the system where we can comment and make posts about what we wish. Sometimes it doesnât have a way to detect or fight content theft, has no payment for authors, and also is built on centralized systems. This means users on them are controlled to follow the rules of the owner. Examples are Facebook, Twitter, and others.
Web3 is a system built on decentralized. Everyone who owns an account is a boss and has a hand in the platform's decisions and standing. In web3, there is content ownership where we all have to present our own works. After these, we might get the chance to get laid for adding value to the system through curation. This is how different web3 is from web2.
Now, hive is a blockchain that operates on web3. Web3 which is the master of decentralization, hive is the face of it. Other chains say they work with this system but indirectly is a centralized one. Hive has proven beyond measure that, everyone even the newbies has a voice to say how hive should be managed for the growth of the system. Hive is the king of decentralization.
Speaking about hive again, hive is a nation-builder and world savior. It isnât just about the user base online. Changing the lives of people online. There should be a way for people outside hive to see what hive is, the world changer and builders. It had involved in many projects as the âHive Goes to Schoolâ in Venezuela, and a mini, and growing one in Ghana by the Hive Students Hub. There are more but I canât leave out the masterpiece project in my country, the borehole project. Hive has built and given people clean water to drink in Ghana. We have about 7 boreholes built by Hive in Ghana. There should be people with sites to see these things which lead to the project led by @nattybongo to give free eye screening and equipment to people in Ghana. So if you ask me what hive is, I will say hive is the leader in solving our world SDG goals.

Hive is a family. A family that never leaves behind a family member. Bring out what is bothering you and everyone will take it up. I had a dream to make education better, hive pulled through for me, and currently sponsoring it. @mcsamm and @collinz saw the need for people to have clean water to drink. He brought to the people and they say the need to help the dream of a family member. @nattybongo as a doctor, cared for the eyes and knew not everyone could afford a checkup. He brought It forward and the hive family supported that dream. That is what hive is all about. Support that member and it will go a long way to speak for hive itself.
This is hive for me. I can't say all that I know about hive. But for this weekâs prompt, this is what I can share. I hope to learn more as many write. Thanks for passing by.
