After SHS, I joined a club that gave me the privilege to embark on a community project at Garden City Special School, a special needs school around Asokore Mampong in Ghana.
Their reception was very impressive. They welcomed us amidst smiles and laughter. They were extremely happy and enthused that, some people had decided to visit them.

As a project for Hive, I'd like the team to reach out to these people, visit them, speak to them, encourage and help them with some materials they need
These children have goals and aspirations but who will help them reach their goals? It almost looks like they have been neglected and shunned even by the government and they rely on a few sponsors to help them.
Let's remember that these are people with Special needs and they require more attention and care but that's not the case.
These children need people to motivate them, inspire them, believe in them and most of all push them through their life journey.
This is why I want Hive Ghana to take it upon themselves to visit these children, show them they're not alone, and make great impacts in their lives as they always do, as a project for Hive.
It's high time we help them truly understand the saying that "Disability is not Inability" and with that, we can transform some lives.
