Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hiveghana community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt. Gratitude.
One thing I love about myself is that I am very grateful. I appreciate everyone in my life. Every milestone I achieve, anyone we don’t show gratitude to is ungrateful. Yesterday, I was coming back from work, and I saw two blind people struggling to cross the road. I decided to help them cross the road. You needed to see how grateful they were. I stood for a minute thanking God for the gift of sight. If you look around your life, you will see reason to be grateful to your maker. If you think that you don’t have reason to be grateful to your creator, go to the mortuary. When you see people lying lifeless, you will have a reason to be grateful. Every human has something they are grateful for. If there is something I am always grateful for, it is the life I have and the air I breathe. Whenever I wake, I kneel beside my bed to thank my maker for the new day. The fact that I don’t own my life and I don’t know how I was able to wake up every morning is enough reason to be grateful.
There are thousands of reasons why we should be grateful; we should learn to focus on the things we have rather than the things we do not achieve. My parents will always tell me in every situation I should be grateful.
The three things I am grateful for
Whenever I look at myself, I have every reason to be grateful. Firstly, I am grateful for the gift of good health: every single day I wake up so healthy. I am so grateful because there are so many in the hospital struggling with their health; some have spent months and years in the hospital, but I am alive, safe and healthy, eating what I like. Move freely, and I breathe without paying for it. If you have ever visited an emergency ward, you will understand why you should be grateful for good health.
Secondly, the gift of family Whenever I look at the beautiful family and friends I have, I am always grateful that the universe blessed me with amazing family and friends who are supportive. They have really been my backbone most times. Imagine what I would have done without my amazing friends and family. I am so grateful that I am close to them. I am so grateful to have them in my life; without them, life will be meaningless.
Lastly, I am grateful that I was able to finish my education. It was not easy for me back then in school; I needed to suffer and struggle for me to be able to buy books. But when I look at the milestones I was able to achieve, I am so grateful to the people that made these dreams come to pass.
Always be grateful for the little you have by being grateful; it will open doors of opportunities. Whoever practises gratitude is always fulfilled; they are full of positive vibes. Gratitude attracts blessings; whoever practises gratitude has the purest heart. When you look around you, you will find reasons why you should be grateful.
This is my response to the weekly prompts #hiveghana topic gratitude.
