When I hear people complain about having bad neighbors, I cannot relate to it as I haven't really had an encounter with a troublesome neighbor or neighbors before, I don't know if this can be attributed to the kind of person I am though.
How is your relationship with your neighbors. Do they bring your peace or it’s the other way round and if you had the chance to change them, would you?
I recently moved into my apartment, I'm barely a year there. When I first moved in, I didn't relate with any of my neighbors other than my security man, because his room was closest to mine, and he seemed like a really nice person.
I could remember the first day I moved in, I came alone, and I didn't have anyone to assist me with my things, I didn't really have so many properties though, as this was more like the first time I was moving out from home (technically it wasn't even from home but from my aunt's house), this my security guy was the one who helped me bring in my properties.
Gradually I got to meet some other of my neighbors, but as it is now, I only just relate with two of my neighbors, and they are both guys. Out of the two, one had to come to my room to knock since he heard that someone had moved into the room, but he had never seen the person, lol that was because I was always in my room after work, that was pretty much how we got to meet, we introduced ourselves and since then we've been talking to each other.
I wouldn't say I'm close to my neighbors, nah not really, but I think or I know we've gotten to the point where if I was stranded or in danger and they are aware or I let them know they would come to my rescue.
I think I like the relationship we share, we aren't always in each other's space, because I am someone who loves her space a lot. But we tend to keep up with one another, once in a while we check up on each other.
So like I said I haven't really had any issues with any of my neighbors, even while at home with my parents, we never had any form of altercation with any of our neighbors, I don't know if it's because of the kind of lifestyle we live, we relate with our neighbors, but not so much.
But I remember we once had a neighbor they were a family of around 5 to 6, and the children were our age mates, so we had some level of rapport with this family, we got to the point where they were almost like family friends to us. But a few years later they had to leave the neighborhood as they were renting the apartment and had to move to their own home.
Till today we still communicate with them and also visit them when we can and they do the same. So I can say I've had good neighbors that were more like family, and I've also had casual neighbors if I'll put it that way hehe.
My neighbors aren't troublesome, not in the slightest bit, and I've had peace so far with them, I don't think I'll want to change them anytime soon, I think I've also been a good neighbor as I haven't had cause to cause any disturbance or disrupt the peace within our environment.
