Food is vital, it is from foods that we get our daily needed nutrients for a healthy body.
I'm a big fan of food, not just any food though but healthy and delicious meals. If you call me a kitchen girl you are not far from the truth. I like to think of myself as a kitchen goodness with the ultimate power to bring healthy meals to life.š
Because of my love for food, I have a dream of starting my cooking channel sometime in the future. That is one of my hobbies I hope to bring to life.
I tell my friends that the kitchen is my favorite part of the house, I do not love food this much just because it is one of the essentials that keep us alive but my time in the kitchen gets me creative. The kitchen is like my little adventure place where I can explore as far as my imagination can take me.
There is joy in cooking a delicious meal to the delight of my family and me. Sometimes I get to experiment and come up with a healthy new recipe, and at times I have a recipe go wrong hahaha, things aren't always rosy even in the kitchen. But whatever happens, the kitchen is always a fun place for me.
It's lunchtime, and your stomach is rumbling. Do you unleash your inner chef and whip up a delicious homemade meal, or do you succumb to the convenience and ease of takeout?
The last time I can remember that I bought lunch outside was over two years ago, when I was running an offline shop, even then I did go to work with my lunch packed only on a few occasions where I was not able to go to work with my lunch. I will Have options to buy takeout.
But for two years now I have had the opportunity and the time to always cook my meals, by myself at home and that is one great advantage when you work from home, you have everything you need at your disposal, and your lunch can just be a kitchen door away.
What if I have been busy for a while and hunger came calling, and I have little fuelenergy left in me, will I go for a takeout meal or use my remaining little strength to prepare for myself a lunch?
I have never been a fan of buying food from outside, for many reasons, one, hygiene, and then health reasons. A Lot of restaurants are after profit making, before anything else, because of this, they use mostly ingredients that will make their meals tasty and at the same time very cheap for them and not necessarily healthy.
For this reason, I always prefer to prepare my meals from scratch, that way I'm in full control of what goes into my pot.
And as well make sure that my kitchen is always hygienic.
So back to that question above, I will always choose to prepare my meal, any day, any time. It is healthier and cheaper.
If my energy level is low, I have some quick recipe that won't take much more than ten minutes and a yummy healthy lunch will be ready to save my soul from the den of hunger hahaha.

Yes, I love food very much but I'm very cautious of what kind of food I eat. If the food is not healthy it becomes more like slow poison, for that, only when I cook my meals I'm 100% sure of its health value. Unless on very rare occasions, if I have no means of preparing my meal at home, like I'm sick and can't cook, or I have somewhere very urgent to be, I might consider buying some snacks and probably soft drinks as a step-down.
