As the year is coming to an end, let's take some time to reflect on the past months and everything that went down. If you were to describe your 2024 in one word, what would it be? And what lessons are you taking into the new year?
As we enter into another year, it is always necessary to always reflect on how well you lived the previous year, you should ponder on the things you did right and those you did wrongly, those things you did that failed and the things you did and you succeeded so that as you enter into another year, you approach it with a different measures to achieve what you could not achieve in the former year and not repeat some mistakes again. Reflection is a positive thing to do and it should be done with sincerity if you want to start another phase of your life better. Last year was a better year though full of struggles, full of problems, but it was one of the best years because I was able to discover my strength and I had a lot of lessons.
While reflecting on the problems and the stress I went through last year from the economic situation of my country that caused a lot of things to increase in price like transportation, increase in price of foodstuffs, Increase in House rent and other things that affected a lot of people. To Family issues that warranted spending of money. It was a whole lot of crises for me.
This alone taught me that in order to meet my needs i should put in more effort to work, it takes consistency, determination and sacrifices to achieve what you want. No matter how hard it may be, don't give up, instead strive to succeed. Unlike me, the economic situation that affected everyone made me determined to work. I had opportunities to learn a lot of things that I can use to achieve financial stability. I saw myself leaving the laziness room and being intentional about working so that I can at least provide for myself and my family which I know that this year. I will keep pushing to achieve financial stability.
Reflecting on my relationship with people I learnt that you don't need to force friends. If you notice that the relationship is not valued, you walk away and also stay where you are valued, prioritise those who prioritise you. So you don't force yourself on anyone and in the course of that you lose your value and respect. I had a few bad experiences with friends, most I will say were my fault and others were from the friends. So with my experiences in relating with people, I will be so intentional in choosing my friends so i don't end up with people i have to force myself to be in their lives.
Still in the course of my experiences in 2024, I have learnt not to force things I believe that will be. There are things you fight so hard to get but unfortunately those things were not meant to be so you can fight hard from now till tomorrow and that doesn't come to you but you discover that the things we get easily we don't even fight for it. So the things i can get i get the ones i cannot afford i should not stretch to get them or not get worried about getting what is not within your reach.
With the few lessons I learnt in 2024, I hope to use it to achieve great success in 2025.
