Parents are one of the Vital parts of growth in a child's life, the way and a manner a parent or Guardian choose to bring up their child is a very important step in the future that the person will lead. Discipline in our contemporary world is one that is not entirely found amongst the people we live with, most of our youth today have become the people they are because of the kind of training they received from their parents or Guardians. Although there are speculations that not every child receives the trainings their parents gives them no matter the effort put into its.
Take for instance, I experienced the growth of a child whose parents were strict and made sure to provide everything this person needed in a human being, the parents were discipline and organized in every sense of the word. But the child grew up to be a menace in the society, despite the fact that the parents tried to make their children grow in a way a manner that is Christian like and appropriate, this particular child choose to follow the negative aspects of living. It was as if he rebuked every training, discipline, good reputation that they tries to instill in him.
So the case is not dominant in the sense that, no matter the kind of training and discipline you give to your child it all boys down to their innate ability to follow through.
My experience for example, I am a lady from a good Christian home with a strict background from both my parents and families surrounding me. The thing is, the discipline I received from my family has been so versatile that it has helped me to navigate through life's ordeal. I think it was a communal responsibility that made me the person I am today. Back in the days, children were not seen as one person's biological child but they were seen as a communal efforts to raise the child.
In essence, we grew up to be dutiful and responsible children in every situation will find ourselves. So I do not see their efforts to train and raise me in the way they did as a punishment but rather all the Teachings of respect, greetings, not to still, to be organize, upright, punctual, neat and so many more are virtues that have shaped my life.
