Can we say life is like a rollercoaster. Sometimes it feels very tempting to focus on the negative things instead of the positive..But I think I've realized to always be thankful for every little thing that I've achieved in life.
There are three things that I'm grateful for right now and that have kept me hopeful.
First, I'm thanking God for my life so far.
There is something magical about stepping aside. There is something about being alive and still breathing. You step outside, you walk around, you can feel nature. You clear your head, remind yourself to slow down. No matter what life is throwing at you.
Second, I'm grateful for my family. The love between me and my family has always been strong. Sometimes we find our time to get together, we laugh together and share our vision together. We had a game night recently and everyone was sitting down close to each other. My parents, my siblings, even my uncle too. We always like to crack up some silly jokes when we're around and we laugh so much. It's just a reminder that love, affection does not cost a dime.
Third, I'm thankful for a second chance.
Sometimes we know we have messed up in life. Whether it's in our workplace, in our business or our personal work. That we failed at the first try. But I want to thank God.
I want to be thankful for the second chances. I messed up in one of my projects at the office. A few weeks back. But I was happy that my boss gave me a second chance to fix it. And that trust of my boss pushed me to do more better. And it taught me that mistakes do not define me or define the end of me. Instead, they allow you to just grow up.
These things always happen. The walks and the laughter and second chances are just like big anchors in my life. They all remind me that even when things are not going as planned in my life, there is only something that you should hold on to. And gratitude is the big deal.
It's not about ignoring those who have life.
It's about trying to choose and see the positives in every situation of your life. Because that is what keeps you going. So ask yourself now, what is it that has been lighting up your world right now?
You have every reason to be grateful for everything that is happening to you. I know it might be sad sometimes when a member does have a break, lost a job, failure. And not getting the things you planned on getting when you were a kid and now you are an adult. But just be grateful for the little ones you have achieved so far.
