Hive as a Ghanaian culture, quite an interesting theme. I couldn’t help it but drop my thoughts on the matter. Culture as we have been thought is the ideas and behaviors of a particular group of people. In Ghana we have different ethnic groups that have different beliefs and backgrounds hence thier way of living is different from how the others might be living. These differences can be seen in the food they eat, thier religions, the way they dress, their festivals and many more.
The Ghanaian culture identifies a particular group of people to be either guans, Ashantis or Dagombas. One might ask how can you identify them? Thier choice of music, dressing can at a glance give you a clue as to where he or she belongs. Now back to the matter. If hive were a Ghanaian culture, i think it would be expressed through dressing. Now just like when i see a man wearing a specific type of smock, i can be able to tell the type of ethnic clan he or she come from.
In this blockchain, The hive T shirts are serving as the “smock” such that when i see your wearing it, i dont have think twice. From there i will just immediately know that this guy is representing hive or he stands for hive. A pure example is our brother @mcsamm, is always in his hive T shirt. So anytime he steps out, he is going to be identified as someone who represents and stands for hive.
Hive and the Ghanaian culture i believe are a great fit. Hive teaches us to be united, we should supprt each other. We see this in the form of upvotes, reblogs and engagement through comments. The same things applies in our cultures we are taught together we stand and divided we fall. So you can see the connection between hive and the our cultures.
I belive that hive can be likened to a lot of our cultural practices not only with the dressing. But we can also talk about liking it to some festivals like the fire festival, Damaba festival and many more. In some instances we can even liking hive to our cultural music. This is actually a broad theme that we can really go deep into detail. I will end here for now use this opportunity to thank the leaders of this community for organizing such a wonderful and educative topic for discussion. Thank you.
