Our way of activities, our humanitarian lives of welcoming strangers, and other stuff as Ghanaians form a great alliances with Hive activities, not doubt about this!
To make it clearer; Culture is a way of life a group of people live showcasing the kind of food they eat, the clothes they wear, the language they speak, their way of dance and the kind kind of music they like. Actually culture demonstrate the symbolic of the kind of lifestyle the group of people live. I think relating Ghanaians culture to the Culture of Hive fit well or matches perfectly.
For instance in Ghanaians culture there are aspect of lives that bind us together, connect us and hence strengthens our unity. For Ghanaians Hivians here would side with me that, our cultural festivals which probably take place annually binds us a lot. This is the occasion where most native of Ghanaians oversees, those who have even travelled for so many years come to their home to celebrate the occasion. Another aspect is our weekly funeral celebrations, marriage ceremony and out-doring. During this occasion, a lot of people are invited to come and support grace the occasion. Not purposely to raise funds but to make funs and unify our love and the spirit of oneness.
We would then ask, how do all these relates to the Culture of Hive? Yeah, Hive as social and decentralized platform form network of many people from all walks of lives. Each of these people playing diversity of roles base of on their categories of field like science, music, games, photography, foodie etc. Attention is given to each of these people called Content curators, Curators and Content Consumers. All these activities that Hive play are similar to Ghanaians Culture of Festivals which attracts most foreigners to come and witness the occasion. What important culture dominance do we inculcate here? We then strengthens engagement, paying attention and giving respect to each person on the platform through commenting and feedbacks, upvotes, reaction and recommendations on content shared. Recognition of the presence of individual would boost their morale of showing up themselves again and again. In Hive network, we are connected to each other at regular times like paying homage to our funeral celebrations, out-doring and marriage ceremony. If fail to attend a friend or love ones funeral or marriage ceremony, it means during your turn similar attitude would be shown to you. And when the love among us decline, it means the cohesion that bind us would be segregated and at the end the group be dormant.
There are a lot of functionalities we engage ourselves as Ghanaians some times for prizes, rewards and fun making. Some of these are during exhibition, farmers day, school and prize giving day, the best musicians of the year and food competition. These are some of our way of lives that bring a lot of entertainment in our Ghanaian Societies. We have seen in many occasion in Ghanaian Culture showcasing exhibition of items of how we can demonstrate our talents on what we can do either by our hands, mind or anything that we can do. There have been a lot of food competitions telecasting on television for people to showcase how best they can prepare well delicious Ghanaian food. We always marvel about the way the best musicians are chosen for every year, especially if our favorite musicians aren't mentioned as the award winner.
I think all these activities that we engage in are similar to what various communities in Hive are doing. Just check out community like "food community, music community and other many communities. To bring a lot of funs to the members in these communities, contests are organized to engage them and to also know what most people are capable of doing. Rewards are giving to the participated winners in the various contests are appreciation for the various Mod and Admins. This always motivate them to keep sharing with the communities. Imagine if some prizes are not given to the winners of the best musicians of the year, would they present their names for the subsequent music awards? It would even be boring and many musicians would feel reluctant to participate.
Being confined at one city or area is boring. We become fed up staying in one environment born and bred. It become worse when it happens that we schooling within one vicinity. We need to sometime chill, party and make funs with Guys by going out to excursions at very attractive tourist sites. Thanks to Jah for blessing our country with lots of beautiful tourist sites like Kakum national park & walk ways, Feamah Monkeys, Boti water falls, Elmina Cattle and many other places good for visit and making funs. I believe this really reminds us of our "travel" community in Hive. For instance, we have many places across the Globe the our funs Hivians who love travelling share their post with travel community.
I believe Ghanaian Culture have a strong alliance with the culture of Hive through the various activities that Hive communities engage in. The shared activities here are just few of them that I have shared.
