Good day fam, I hope you are reading this in good health. I first of all would like to commend @mcsamm and @collins and everyone trying to make Hive Ghana a success. It's really a great honor to be a member of the community. I know it's going to be a great success tomorrow. Hive is known to many as a platform where people share contents and earn Hive tokens as incentives. But the real fact is that Hive is beyond that; it's a community of great minds utilizing the blockchain technology to its full potential.
I officially joined Hive as an active member on December 18, 2022. That is exactly 4 months and 2 days today. My defunct account was not exclusively for Hive because I used to share contents across other platforms too, but after I took some time to explore the capabilities of Hive, I finally decided to focus all my energy on Hive here by creating this account. I consulted @depressedfuckedup for guidance, and he did an excellent job on that.
My experience within these four months has been amazing. It is full of learning and engagement with the Hive family. I would say that choosing Hive as a place to share and engage with other like-minded individuals has been one of the best things to happen to me this year. I still classify myself as a newbie here because I have realized there's still a lot about the platform I don't know about and I keep on learning to make the best use of it.
These days, I always prefer spending my time on Hive than on the traditional social media platforms, which I have been trying to abandon for years now. Creating content here has been an amazing experience, and I feel proud reading my own content. especially knowing I am the full owner of such content and that it's been recorded on the blockchain.
As a newbie, there are inevitable challenges one has to endure, so I have seen my current challenges here as a way of learning. Some of them being lack of time to engage more on others' content and insufficient upvotes and engagement on my content. With these challenges, I believe it's just a matter of time before all comes to pass.
Hive as a platform for great minds has created a conducive environment for me to learn more about other people's cultures and lifestyles, and I do like engaging with other users' content about their lifestyles and cultural experiences. Also as a blockchain enthusiast, Hive has really spiced up my learning process of the blockchain space. I do learn a lot about blockchain technology, especially from the Leofinance community, where people share a lot of content about the blockchain space, their experiences, and best practices. Most times, I do visit @leoglossary to learn more about the crypto and blockchain spaces from the glossary of words there.
I've not only been learning from others' content but also from creating my own, which has been a great way of learning on the platform. It has also improved my writing and proficiency in English.
It's my ambition to share the good news of Hive with as many people as I can. I do try to invite people to the hive when I see their potential. I also promote Hive on my Twitter account, and I am even trying to make my Hive promotion work on Twitter as I increase my follower count there. I currently have over 900 followers there.
The best way to make a newbie appreciate being part of the community is to educate them more about its ethics, and this is what I do first when I onboard a newbie here. I do educate them and encourage them to keep learning more about the platform so they can enjoy it to the fullest.
I hope you enjoy reading my entry. I have a lot to share on this challenge, but to make this easier to read, I will pause here before I run out of energy from fasting :). Thank you for your time. I wish you a great day ahead!
Cheers! Yours @lifeof.abdul
