There are moments in life when silence is not enough to keep moving. When the weight of gratitude presses against the chest you can't even speak of it and the only thing that can lift it is truth spoken or written. This is one of those moments I'd like to share about.
To everyone who has walked with me whether for a day, weeks, months, a year, or a lifetime this letter is for you.
To those who stood by me when the winds were rough and I couldn’t see the shore clearly, I say a very big thank you. Your presence was my compass. It guides me all the way through. You might not even know the depth of what you did, or how your words, your prayers, your silence, or even just your belief in me kept me from crumbling. Some of you were there without saying a word, but I felt your strength. Lifting me up. Others were loud in your support, blackening me from behind and every shout echoed in my bones and made me stronger.
To those who showed up when it mattered not for the shine, not for the glory, but for the grind I see you. You gave me pieces of yourself when I had nothing left to give. Some of you are friends which turned into family. Others were strangers who offered kindness with no expectations in return. And then there are those whose paths crossed mine only briefly, but left fingerprints that time can’t erase. It's worth it.
You see, life has not been a straight road for me. It’s been rocky, confusing, painful, and unpredictable. Sometimes I'm not even sure which path I'm heading towards. I’ve seen days when I doubted my worth, nights when I questioned my decisions, and seasons when I almost gave up on everything. But here I am not perfect, not finished but still standing. And I didn’t get here alone. But through everyone's strength, I was being strengthened.
To my silent supporters the ones who cheered behind closed doors, who mentioned my name in rooms I never stepped in, who spoke well of me even when I wasn’t around I thank you deeply. I may never know all of you, but trust me when I say your energy reached me. It gave me breath when life felt heavy.
To those who challenged me, disagreed with me, or even walked away thank you too. You taught me how to grow, how to stand on my own, and how to protect my peace. Not all lessons come wrapped in love. Some come through fire. But every flame shaped me.
There are so many names I could list, but this letter would never end. So instead, let me say this:
If you’ve ever clapped for me, listened to me, corrected me, helped me, fed me, advised me, believed in me, worked with me, laughed with me, or cried with me know this you are a part of my journey. And I appreciate you more than words can ever say.
This isn’t goodbye. It’s not the end. It’s just a pause a moment to reflect, to honor, to say thank you.
You helped me become who I am becoming now sharpen me to become a better person.
And I will never forget it. With fire in my heart and love in every line,
Thank you.
