Something is calming about being in nature and flowers are for me the purest way of capturing that feeling of peace. On one of my recent walks, I came across a few flowers that immediately caught my attention. The colors were rich, their shapes delicate, and the aroma in the air was unforgettable.
I love nature, and it is rarely the big things that get my attention — it is usually the little things. The flowers, quietly growing where they were planted, were a gentle reminder of the peace that exists in the beauty of simply observing. Beauty has a way of being soft, sincere, and charming without being loud and demanding. I immediately slowed my walk to approach. I could not help myself. They were that inviting.
When I completed my walk, I discovered I spent most of my time with the flowers, breathing in their sweet fragrance, whilst absorbing the stillness that got me in their presence. It is amazing how something so simple can alter your mood and leave you feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to the earth.
Nature is conducive to calling us back to what is true and real. The flowers were not only beautiful, but they were a gentle reminder to pause and notice the quiet, lovely details we overlook every day. I was not surprised. I left the space with the fragrance of the flowers still lingering on my person, physically and emotionally.
Here are some photos of them for your viewing pleasure, in the hope they bring you the same calm they brought me. Sometimes a singular flower can express more than a thousand words. This time they expressed so much than l thought.
Let nature call to you as well. It is always there and always waiting.
