The Kind Of Parent I Want To Be

Been able to take good care of oneself is kind of difficult with the economy let alone taking good care of a family of six (4 children) by my parents was really challenging but with hard work and God's favor they pull through.

I'm so happy with the type of Parents that birthed me, they both went extra miles to satisfy us and also train us to become better persons for ourselves and also to the society.

My parents did all they could to send us to school and today I can say the 4 of us are now graduate, doing well in our various field of choice. I will continue to thank the Divine for the wonderful and disciplinary Parents that I have and I can proudly say they are the best in the world.

Although during childhood, I and siblings usually imagined maybe we were adopted or mean nothing to our parents because the way my Mom disciplined us was so strict. That I sometimes felt she was a witch looking for who to kill🤣

My wonderful Mom is a disciplinarian who I appreciate for instilling good morals in me, once you offend her she doesn't starve a child as a form of punishment at all but rather feeds you beyond your satisfaction so as to have enough strength to serve correct punishment.

When Mom punishes, you dare not make unnecessary cry/sound so as not to attract the neighbors to beg on your behalf cause once they beg for you chaiiiii _{trailer don jam you be that, the punishment becomes double.🤣}

Any sin against my Dad is most times pardonable but sin against my Mom is unpardonable, she has different forms of punishment for different offenses, so we always avoid her.

Nevertheless, I've really learnt lots of amazing lessons from my Parents in which I would love to utilize when I become a parent.

When I start having kids, I would love to be a hard working woman who also doubles as a disciplinary Mom who disciplines her kids with one hand and draws them closer to my heart in love with the other hand.

I will try all my possible best by God's grace to instill the fear of God in them, teach them good morals and also impact them positively so as to be a better persons to themselves and also to the society at large just as I've learnt from my parents.

Because I've got to understand that charity begins at home which means the home is the first school or learning center of a child. And a Child in which his/her parent/parents fails to instill home training in, will definitely be irresponsible and later constitutes nuisance to the society.

Therefore, I've caught the understanding that if I failed as a parent, then my kids will automatically be among those who will grow to become the troubler of the world (God forbid).
