Fathers are superheroes. They provide, protect,guide and ultimately sacrifice (behind the scenes) for their family. Though mothers take all of the glory because their sacrifices are clearly seen.
I am not a father, but I know to a very good extent what it takes to be a father. Whispers: I almost became one.. hehehe. nah just joking.
Right from the day men were born, they have been taught by their father to always be strong and protect. "Protect."

This mentality has always been in our minds, even those who didn't have a father, they subconsciously learnt this attribute.
Getting to a stage in life, we realize that life is not a bed of roses. We have to work to eat. Life is not for the weak, so we have to "protect our own, guide our loved ones, and also, provide for them."
Before a man became a dad, he was once a boy, a young adult and trust me, this is the most lively stage in the lifespan of a man. At this stage, we are energized, could do anything at anytime, we can lift the earth and play golf with it.
Hehe, just exaggerating.
During the stage of being a young adult, mistakes are made, mistakes that we may regret for the rest of our lives. We may make financial mistakes, sexual mistakes, educational mistakes, business mistakes e.t.c just name it.
When men are passing through all these things to shape them into being a protector, guide and provider, women on the other hand are being shaped to be a good wife to her husband. Inarguable yeah?
Naturally, we men, we always have a high sexual drive, I don't know for older men but I'll say for adults cause that's what I am one.
Sometimes, we wake up in the morning with a very very hard pole for no meaningful reason. It happens naturally. Our sexual drive is high most of the times.
Based on this, we tend derail females who do not hold tight to the teachings of their parents. Those ones who are moved by flashy things, Those ones who lust over a man and wants to have a guy because their friends have one. We tend to derail these kind of girls. Trust me, due to the fact bag females are easily brainwashed, it will not end in one female.
The females can control (to an extent) their sexual drive but the males can not.
The females on the other hand can not control their love for material things but the males can and guess what? We have plenty of material things.

However, the females tend to chase material things while the males quench whatever is high.
As simple as that. This is basically how today's world operates, well to the best of my knowledge.
The one of the reasons why the boyfriend and father never see eye to eye is because the dad is not yet sure of the guys intention towards his daughter.
The father may always look the guy in his eyes but the guy will never look he father in the eyes.
At first visit, the father may be mean to the guy. This is like a defence mechanism. His trying to protect his child. Remember, dad was once like the guy and trust me, dad has passed did everything the guy is doing. Some guys may decide to follow a lady to see her parents because of too many disturbance from the lady, and he don't want to let go of the lady because she has a good cat. He may just decide to stay around, eat more cat and look for what he needs in another lady afterwards.
The dad has been through all these stages so he can mostly predict the guys intention just by looking at him.
Basically, they are trying to defend, and protect their daughters from guys who are like that.
The father maybe a responsible person who did not misbehave during his youth, but trust me, he had this one friend that is father of all cats. Anywhere they see cats, the chase after it.
There is this thing guys do, they tend to pet different cats in their neighborhood, then come tell their fellow guys ways to approach and equally pet the cat. it's just brother helping a brother, nothing more.
Based on this, the father do not trust this guy in question to give him that role yet (the role of being his daughters protector, provider and guide e.t.c). Until the guy proves he can carry that burder, the father will always see him as a guy who wants to pet his daughters cat and go away.
