Have you ever thought about how some people process thoughts in their minds before they act?
Well my immediate neighbors have made me a critical thinker, sounds funny but it's a reality.
I have lived in my apartment for a long time before this lady moved in with her husband, we always exchange greetings as neighbors which is a normal thing to do, then I was not always at home because of my work which only allows me to come home on Wednesdays then back to work on Thursday so I was less seen by the people around.
Fast forward to when I resigned from the work because of the distance in search of jobs closer to where I stay.
Me and this lady we barely talk just greetings, respect is meant to be reciprocal but in just a few months she began to feel like I owe her so much respect, aah aunty! I didn't allow that bother me, sometimes when I greet her she behaves like she didn't hear I just greeted her, she continued that way till I stop the greetings, we were just there I don't know what could possibly make her behave that way but that's how it was or does pregnancy cause such behavior?
After she left for labor, that was already like three or four months passed, this time around she came back with a baby, everyone were just happy celebrating with her and so was she
she had changed to be more friendly after she came back, infact she was really nice with no problem at all, I believe her.husband was able to provide for her and the baby.
I even made this for her son
But I observe that she would want to be over friendly by trying to cross boundaries I mean sometimes we need help from our neighbors for some minor things but not always to the extent of inconveniencing someone else.
Please did you cook? Let me just taste what you cook na, oh I cooked okro today oo but I don't like it would you prefer me to cook rice? Aah like why I you asking me if you should cook rice 🌝😌
Whenever I'm back from work I won't even rest because of this lady, in i mind I knew this won't end well but I decided to keep calm.
She had many red flags on her, because she talks too much, she always want to know things about people that doesn't concern her, some people in the compound talks about how she opens her mouth wide…
It all ended when she spoke ill against me.
Mhen this lady had to start saying things I didn't say to someone I know just in the little space of being a good neighbor which sometimes I avoid getting entaglled with all of her junks,
When I heard what she did I was angry, I wanted to get tell her husband to warn her never to try that again with me, but because her husband is just a cool man I let it slide, I just decided that nothing more that greeting can occur between us. When she knew that everything she said has gotten to me and I didn't even go to ask her anything, she was confused I mean I always notice that she tries to escape anytime she sees me around.
No more neighbor palava
No more stress.
Some neighbors are just so disturbing and all we need do is to avoid them in all way possible.
