Hi great hivians and the members of the hiveghana community. Seat back and enjoy as a pour out my sincere contemplations.
I have in recent times really found my self seating back to think about the girl child, their growth process, the world's view of them, what thier priorities are in life and this has really given me great concern.
Walking round the street, going through the social media, looking at billboards, it almost seem, the girl child has been reduced to mere object of seduction.
This makes me ask questions such as, what is our institution of learning doing, what are the churches doing about this, what are our parents doing about this, what's the positions of our elders about this. Or as it become a norm in recent times.
I have really been sad recently, because it's looks as if any young man that seem to execute his youthful exuberance, looks for a vunureable girl and carries this exuberance on them.
And also on the part of the girl child, they don't help matter at all. The dressing, the looks etc, sends a message to a growing young man around that I am this/that kind of person.
Now you can't walk few miles on the street without seeing a provocative dressing, you can't scroll through the social media without seeing very highly provocative images.
I want to use this platform to encourage the girl child here that;
- You are more.
- You are an object of positive change and not destruction
- You are an inventor
- You came into this world to transform the universe.
- Your body was not meant to be used as a seductive instrument.
- You can't be used against your wish for pleasure.
- You are modest.
- You are respectful.
- You are great.
- You are intelligent.
- You are wise.
- You are great mother.
Our mindset matters, how we see our selfs matter, so see your self as a QUEEN who you are and the almighty God will lift you up higher. God bless you.
