Hello everyone! I am pleased to participate in this contest organized by the Hive Ghana community. I am excited to be part of this community. And also, we thank the community leadership for always coming up with these contest topics. We are grateful, and Hive Ghana shall grow to become one of the largest and most impactful communities on Hive.

We have seen how Web 1 and Web 2 work, which do support decentralization. These web versions were controlled and managed by organizations. Unlike Web3, which supports decentralization and transparency on users activities on their platforms, Web3 is gradually gaining attention from the large population of society, and it will overcome web2 applications such as Twitter or Facebook sooner or later.
Decentralization is very important for user activities on web applications, which would help eliminate fraud or scams on the internet. Many individuals are exhausted of the autocratic nature of web2 applications such as Twitter, and web3 platforms will be the trending web applications on the internet.
We have seen many Web3 applications, such as Hive and Steemit. They all aim to support decentralization and transparency in their activities. Many people would testify to the fact that Steemit is not a decentralized platform as it is controlled by individuals.
Let me do justice to the topic: if hive is a Ghanaian culture, which one would it be? We have many cultures in Ghana, and I must say that hive would be Bugum, or fire festival, as a Ghanaian culture.

The fire festival is a Ghanaian culture practiced by the northern people of Ghana. It is a seasonal festival practiced by the people. This festival is celebrated to remember the missing son of a very important chief in the community. The son was lost in the night, and the society could not wait till daybreak. They lit fires and looked for him in the night until he was found on a tree. The people were happy, and they celebrate it every year to remember the incident.
Hive as a Ghanaian culture would be the fire festival, which helps light the night for the people to find the truth. Steemit was introduced to many individuals as a decentralized platform that was controlled and managed to the individual's interests until the hive was discovered by the people in darkness.
These people will enjoy and celebrate the decentralization, transparency, and flexible nature of the platform. And we hope that many will find the truth and support the hive to attain the needed attention from society.

Thank you for reading this post, and I cannot wait to read your entries as well.
