First of all I just wanna say I love unity and what they are doing to make things easier for beginners and indie game developers... The first time I attempted this project, I never knew about the pro-builder tool.
I learned that that Unity acquired the company that developed the package and made it available for game developers for FREE... I was pretty excited to try this out, formerly I used external modelling software to design and import assets but there is something about designing your assets within the game engine itself that makes thing more natural.
It was a pretty steep learning experience but I'm getting the hang of it... First I had to import my MODEL and began setting the scene...
I created a quick cartoon shader for the skin just to test out the appearance of the model, then I had to create a plane surface for the ground. This is the foundation of the first group of tiles that is going to spawned throughout the game.
Then I had to begin building the framework of the environment using pro-build tool. The sub-tools within this program were pretty simple at first glance, but the trick was to learn how to create even complex models with polygon manipulation.
I mostly had to deal with creating simple polygons and then extruding faces, adding vertices, manipulating edges, etc.
My aim was to create a typical Nigerian street way, this is going to be the path my character would run along as it faces obstacles and more increasing difficulties.
I finally succeeded in creating the base-framework of the first street-tile. It was 80 pixels long(z-axis) I would have to create several of tiles like this with random combination of different styles of typically "Nigerian architecture" I hope to create a cartooned version of something like this.

I would surely achieve that by adding UV texture maps to the base models, I hope to also learn how to use the poly brush tool(an extension of pro-builder tool) to achieve a "cartoonized" version of this example.
Join me next time when I talk about UV mapping, texturing and Poly brushing to finish the scene-design. Thanks for your time :-)
