hive family, I am Serving in Sokoto State as a corp member and my eyes opened to the suffering of students in Sokoto State, especially in JSS Dambuwal Government Secondary School.

There is serious heat in this side of Nigeria; it's in the dry Sahel region, so it will experience a hot semi-arid climate and is in a season where the temperature is high, so everywhere is hot currently.The students are not much in class because of the current Ramadan fast; most of them are Muslims, and the classrooms are very bad.

I will share a picture to show you how bad it is; almost all the chairs are faulty, and the rooms are very hot because of this condition.

It is very difficult for the students to understand what they are being taught; their uniforms are bad and old; the students are really going through a lot.

I had a session with them this morning, and we spoke about how things could get better. They needed a conducive environment for learning, they needed better chairs, they needed good educational facilities, and they also needed new uniforms and footwear.

The honest truth is the Nigerian government is not ready to help in this situation.I want to start a project just to help these students before I leave Sokoto, because if they don't get it right now, it will affect them in the long run.
