I got my car washed today. The car is already a bit dirty because of the pollen released by the trees. It's spring so the trees are preparing for the arrival of summer. The wind was also cold so I had to wear a jacket.
Summer is my favorite season because I can go out without worrying about the rain, lol. For me, rain destroys good vibes and it makes me sad.
When I arrived at the car wash place, there was a queue... not again! I'm 3rd on the line. It's not so bad because of the good service provided by this shop. Even though it was fast, it still took about 30 minutes before the washing and drying process was completed. Everything is done by hand that's why it still takes a long time. I actually prefer that the staff personally wash the car because the quality of the washing is better. I don't really trust the automated car washing options because the car is not cleaned thoroughly. The service of automated car washes is faster but the quality of the work is not fine.
In my opinion, work done by hand has a quality that is superior. What I said applies to any kind of work. Because the expertise of a person is better compared to a machine. Our eyes together with the sense of touch will result in better quality.
That being said, there are automated solutions that are superior to humans, which is true when it comes to speed and consistency. These are the tasks that are repetitive; which is the perfect case for automation.
I think that not everything needs to be automated, there are still instances that need human care and ingenuity. There are specific tasks that will require a person to do them instead of a machine. For example, when it comes to cooking, you will need a machine to automate parts of the process that are repeated over and over again such as chopping, grinding, frying, and so on. But when it comes to flavor and plating design, a person's creativity really dominates over a machine's capability.
So, I tell myself not to be afraid of technology because we still have a purpose. Embrace technology but we should also embrace human ingenuity.
Anyway, after I got the car cleaned, I went to a sports shop. I bought a set of dumbbells. Included in the set are a grab bar and 2 pieces of 5 kg weights. In total, the weight of the dumbbell is 11 kg.
The dumbbell I'm using right prior to this upgrade was 5 kg and that's why I felt like I needed to level up. I decided to double the weight of the dumbbell so I could improve my biceps and triceps. As they say, when it comes to lifting weights, it's better to do less with a heavier weight instead of doing more with a lighter-weight dumbbell. Apparently, a heavier dumbbell will have a better impact on my fitness.
The beauty of the dumbbell design I got is that I can add extra weights. I may simply buy another 2 pieces of 5 kg weights to turn it into a 21 kg dumbbell, that's insane!
I started lifting dumbbells a while ago, I was a little surprised because it was really heavy, it weighs a total of 11 kg. No worries, I think I will be able to adjust after a few days of lifting this dumbbell.
Wish me luck and I hope I will be consistent. Cheers!
