I've been following this game for a few days now, I've partake in 2 different giveaway. Today I came across another one which will be ending today (any moment from now). This contest organized by @bobthebuilder2 is a about the origin of PsyberX, a P2E game on Hive blockchain.
We've been living in this house for a few years. Nothing would have really prepared me for what was about to happen. Sure, they told us that if a disaster ever hit that we'd just have to hide in our basement and put on gas masks...that everything would blow over quickly.
That's not exactly how it happened.
This very day I and four of my friends were hanging out at my side, doing what boys do, we chatted danced to some tunes, some rough plays and littered the whole kitchen with some home made snacks.
I was sweeping the floor in my kitchen, occasionally glancing out the kitchen window to catch glimse of the green hillside and enjoy the singing of the birds, while three of my friends where playing the Ps5 in the living room while @killau stood at the kitchen entrance with a red disposable cup in his hands keeping me company as I swept the floor.
It was at this moment, while I was leaning against my broom with a sun-splashed warmth coating my faded black jean and shirtless structured body and apron, that I saw a flash of light. Almost immediately there was a plume of green and purple smoke shooting up with an orange tinged halo near the origin of the flash and for the very first time in my whole life I was taken by the most critical anxiety,I was basically trembling then almost like a snap I heard a scream from a distance and it was my friend Andrew, who was in the living room with @bobthebuilder2 and @jaydr calling out to me, and that was when I regained myself, I had not only myself to think of but my friends cause their life depended on my sanity, only for me to discover the smoke getting in through the windows and underneath the door.
I ran like I had never before throwing the broom and racing towards the living room
Knocking over the Belgian glass center table I just purchased a week ago, I called out to them and held @bobthebuilder2 hand and we started running towards the basement,my heart pouncing and my eyes looking around as the smoke almost filling the entire room.
At that moment, I knew time stopped for me and panicking was not an option I had lives who depended on me and my alpha male instinct to protect made me more determined. At that millisecond I knew I had to outrun that gas or die with guilt not at least protecting my friends due to helplessness, which I couldn't agree to, the race towards the basement was like a hundred million miles.
Finally in the dark basement with no light support but my fear and determination to keep my three homies alive, I blindly searched for our gas masks and putting each as fast as I could for each homie and covering us all in a plastic tent and relaxing a bit to catch my breath and compose my thoughts.
In all my years I have never being scared of anything even when my mother suddenly had a heart attack and collapsed right beside me and died just immediately.
I knew me and my homies had to survive but how.
I couldn't count if we had been in the plastic tent for hours or minutes or days, but I knew staying there, we could either die from starvation or oxygen derivation.
It felt like even my tears couldn't pour out the amount of fear I was feeling and staring at my restless looking homies only made me feel more helpless but I knew we had to survive any way.
A loud footstep as it walked on my living room floor woke me from a strained sleep, then panic immediately set in,we all began to look at each other, each man with his own thoughts and worry the leg or better still the legs were heading straight to the basement.
I looked around for the nearest weapon for each one to use just in case I needed it and I found a small camping knife and I picked it placed it close to my heart and saying a silent prayer to every gods, I waited for the yet to be announced guest or stranger, just like wind from a tornado, my tent was thrown to a far end side of the basement, only for me to behold something I have never seen in my entire life which jolted my whole body system and blacked me out.
This is my entry for the PSYBERX CONTEST
