Every night, when the wind howls and the waves hit the hull, I hear it. The creak of wood, the whispers coming from the sea. The ship still sails on, drifting, aimless and unmanned, except for me.
I survived that stormy night, when the beast of the ocean devoured my companions one by one. But why did it leave me alive?
That question haunts me, as I watch my beloved sleeping peacefully, oblivious to the horror that haunts me.
Sometimes I wake up startled, thinking I see those glowing eyes in the darkness.
Are they watching me, waiting for the moment to claim me? I cannot escape.
The ship holds me captive, forced to watch its endless voyage. Until the day comes when that creature returns for me.
Or maybe I'm a ghost and that's why it hasn't returned?
