While taking precaution for my new day old broilers. I think it is necessary to get the pen cage clean and disinfect any kind of bacteria and dust that may be in it.
To prevent any kind of diseases I have to wash the pen cage with a detergent.
I also wash the water drinker for the birds and the feeding tray. So by now the pen cage is in great shape
Reason why I washed the pen cage
- To prevent any kind of diseases
Prevention they say is better than cure, so I have to follow this words prevent the new birds from being infected. Since the new broilers are a day old, it will be easy for them to be infected by diseases and that's the reason why I have to wash the cage since they say cleanliness is holiness.
One the great challenges that I faced in setting my new pen cage is the electrical stuff. Since there is electrical fault in where I am living so I have to find alternative.
Getting a lantern for my birds nearly comes to unfruitful as I keep searching because is the best local way I can used to give warmth to my birds since it is one the most important part especially when the birds are still small.
I am happy to get the lantern after my persistent searching through the market in which I later got. Even though the lantern is now costly but at least I was able to afford one instead of two since the money with me is not enough.
While searching for a way to get a light in to the pen cage. I am able to get this local torch light and also get the battery with it. Since I am trying not to spend more than I can afford and that's why am going locally to avoid excess expenses.
The birds should arrive before the end of this week and the cage is now in great shape for the new broilers to settle in.
