People who meet me for the first time often think they’ve figured me out. Quiet, reserved, and maybe even a little shy, that’s the impression I tend to give. Mind you, it’s not like I intentionally hide who I am, but I love to let people draw their own conclusion. And then, when they finally discover the other side of me, it’s like ...what.
You see, I have this very dramatic side that no one expects. At home or with close friends, I am the complete opposite of the calm person everyone assumes/thinks I am. I crack the silliest jokes, I dance, I play, I mimic people, I remember dancing and mimicking my dad during a family meeting that was getting tensed and everybody burst out lauging and that eased the tensed atmosphere.
Well, that’s not even the most shocking part of my personality. The real surprise is my temper. People look at me and think, “Oh, this one can’t even hurt a fly.” Well, thats true I must say, I am not violent or aggressive, but when someone crosses a line, I stay silent and just look, but when after warning for over three times, and you still keep on repeating it, you can get to hate me then, cause my tongue turns into a weapon. I’m the kind of person who will tell you off with words so calm but sharp that you will sit down and rethink your life. I don’t lose my cool often, I hardly do, but when I do, it’s like seeing a different person entirely.
One time, during a heated group project conversation in school, a guy tried to boss everyone around and belittle our ideas. I let him rant for a while before giving him just a little a piece of my mind, calmly. The room went silent, and everyone stared at me like, “Where did that come from?”
Another thing that surprises people is if am truly an introvert. Well maybe I don't know too, smiles, I can be loud and fun when I’m comfortable, but I value my time alone like gold. I will attend a party, have fun for a bit, and then disappear in the next minute. I love hanging out with people, but once my social battery wears off, no one/force on earth can keep me going. This surprises peoole a lot, because they never realize that both sides are part of who I am.
Sometimes am home and everyone knows Milliracle is home and sometimes, I might be home for weeks and you wouldn't believe Milliracle is around not to talk of being inside the house.
I am just the layered type. I am not just one thing. Depending on the situation, I can be quiet and dramatic, fun and intense, easygoing and stubborn, and it’s funny when people tell me, “I didn’t know you had this side”. And I love that, the way I could be unpredictable. Life is just much more fun when you keep people guessing.
