Its no longer new or news that there are special delicacies or food common in some tribe or locality and that is the case of 'ebira' tribe in north central of Nigeria with 'gorigo' also known as sesame seed.
In my visit to 'ebira tribe' in kogi state about 6hours drive away from my domicile, i was warm welcomed with this popular snacks called 'gorigo' also known as sesame seed.
Gorigo is always spiced and eat with either groundnuts or roasted beans and its one of the easily found snacks along road sides, parks or other public places. Usually packed in a nylon bag and sometimes in a bottle.
Sesame seed can be preserved and kept for months without being spoilt.
The tiny sesame seed were slightly roasted to add taste to it, salt is also added.
It should also be noted that sesame seed also used by 'ebira tribe' to cook soup just like the melon seed.
