I love to play games and recently I found another one where I am spending a lot of time. It is too fun and addictive that hours pass like minutes here.
There are a lot of quests and challenges each day. One such quest was given by @rosecane.
I had seen the giant X before, but not sure where was it. So, I came close to the city centre (what I think the city centre is...lol) and you can't miss that "X".
On reaching there, I found a signboard with instructions to go to my house for the first clue. I hastily went back to my house to look for the clue. I had no idea what I was looking for. At first, I thought it will be in a book stored on one of my bookshelves, So, I went through them but didn't find it.
After looking for some time, I went looking in trees, they are a good place to hide stuff. And I was right, the clue was on one of my trees.
It was a nameplate with a few digits from the final coordinates of the prize. Also, the clue told me to go to Rose's house. I quickly teleported to Rose's house and searched for the next clues.
This was easy as his house was not that big and now I had an idea of what to expect. I found a sign hanging on the wall. It gave some other digits to the final puzzle and my next clue was in Devil's Den.
I could see the "Devil's Den" in one of the travel networks so, I teleported there and at this point, I searched for a long but didn't find the clue. After some 15 minutes, I gave up. Partly because I didn't know how big this Devil's Den is... yes I can see a huge pit but is that the devil's net or the whole island is the den? I started to doubt myself and quit the game a few times here.
But it was there craftily hidden from the eyes under a block, you can see it with a specific angle only and I search the entire island haha.
This clue told me to go to the "Spooky Sands". I had no idea which place was this... but I remembered that I had seen a place like that.
Does this look like a spooky face? It did to me. I started searching here...haha.
At this point, Rose mentioned that you can look at discord chat for finding the location. I searched for the word "spooky" and found the place. Someone gave the directions, it was next to Sayee's house.
I asked for directions to Sayee's house and Xabi (who was also searching for clues) knew the place. Although he didn't know exactly why I want to know this location. So, he followed me to the dungeon and we both saw the next clue. It said we have to go to Ice temple. Xabi knew the place so he was there in no time. I was behind him at this point.
The next clue was to go to Wandered Library, there were a few smaller clues there and our final piece of the puzzle was inside a Book. Xabi found it before me and at this point, we decided to share our clues to form the full code. It pointed to a place in the desert.
We both knew the coordinates now and were looking for that place. We both fell and died at one point while finding this place. Eventually, I was the first to find this and took the book. I won this giveaway or I should say the quest. I can see the amount of planning and execution that went into this, kudos to @rosecane for creating an incredible challenge.
Other updates
We now have a glider in the minetest. It is a nice addition and now I can jump and glide my way to others. Being high in the clouds, was a perfect thing for me and it made travel much easier. I can now traverse the caves more easily as well.
We also have armour now. One of the basic things that I was missing from day 1. This meant fewer deaths and respawns. Caves are now less deadly and mining in caves is much easier with the addition of gliders and armour.
I created 5 armour sets ranging from diamond to wooden armour. Here is a display of my armour stands placed in my house.
My farm now has some cacti as well. That's how I created a Cactus armour.
I have been enjoying it for some time now. This game is both fun and relaxing at the same time. I love to spend my time here, mining for resources, tending to my farms, working on my house, and doing fun giveaways, quests and challenges. What more do you want?
