The latest version of Android OS usually come first on Google's own phone Pixel. Then it takes 6 months to an year for other distributors to get their hands on latest OS.
Developer Preview for Android 11 is out now and users can manually give it a go on their customized devices. What are the new features we might we expect from this release?
This is the first came this version is not associated with any dessert, I don't know why they stopped it because it thought it was really cool and unique, making it different from other OSs.
The first change is about permission although it was introduced in previous release but this time with slight modification of choosing the permission for only once.
Google has decided to make phones capable of storing identity credentials, so enabling the devices to be ISO 18013-5 compliant for Mobile Driving Licenses. Everything is getting more and more digitized. It might have its drawbacks too in future.
In terms of Hardware upgrade, there is now a support for 5G devices and I bet Samsung will try to avail it because they already released their latest 5G phones. I am sure there might be many more hidden surprises which we can get in the form of features in final release.
