Heya splinter fellas,
Finally a win with captain Ghost. I've been trying to get one win for the past couple of days but it was indeed hard to get one win against maxed cards since my Captain's ghost was just level4. All thanks to splinterlands they forced me to upgrade my captain's ghost from level 4 to level5. Now it has the main ability called oppress which I needed. Captain's ghost is specially designed against no attack monsters. Such as Lord Arianthus, Glatenious cube, failed summoner etc. It is ok against failed summoner you actually see its real worth against Lord arianthus because Lord Arianthus has a shield and voidability which takes less damage against magic attack. Finally, I experienced this oppress ability today so I am going to share my experience with this ability.

While reading Lore of the captain's ghost I figured captain's ghost was pretty lost. he defied the reality that he is no more he is dead but he didn't want to let go of his treasure. It was s hard for him to admit the reality of life that if you are no more alive then what would you do with all of your treasure?. His soul left his body but he didn't want to leave his treasure hence he became the big time wanderer of the splinterlands. That's why he is the most ruthless Sea Monsters of the Splinterlands which has the most dangerous ability called oppress.
Stats
Captain's ghost is a rare monster so you need 115 BCX in order to max it. My captain's ghost is level 5 it already has the desired ability but yet I'd love to get it to max level. Because at the maxed level it is giving you 4 magic attack which is really cool.
MY Battle 🏆
Active Splinters: Water, Earth, Dragon and Death
When there is the reverse rule I do prefer to use selenia but since I wanted to get one win with Captain's ghost that's why I decided to go with water splinter instead of a dragon. Water deck is also very good in reverse speed rule because it has many low-speed monsters with a good magic attack. Such as Captain's ghost, Dwarven Wizard, Coral wraith, Medussa etc. I was given only 21 mana cap so I couldn't use more monster but Captain's ghost and Dwarven Wizard.
Bortus
I used Bortus instead of Alric Stormbringer I didn't have any choice. Truth be told I don't like Bortus at all but my Alric Stormbringer is just level 6 and I can't use level 6 summoner in champion 1 league. That's why I used Bortus. But yet Bortus helped me so thank you Bortus😂
Lord Arianthus
I used Lord Arianthis in the first place. We all know how cool this card is. Lord Arianthus is best in to counter magic attack. But it is failed against oppress ability which you will see in my battle. I was lucky enough my opponent didn't use Captain's ghost :P Xd
Furious Chicken
I used Furious Chicken in second place. Why in the second position? well in reverse speed people usually use gold dragon which has blast ability so just to save one blast attack I used it in the second place. On the other hand, like I used snipe magic attack I was assuming my opponent would do as well. And yes he used Dwarven Wizard. Furious chicken helped me wasting one attack from my opponent's side.
Dwarven Wizard
I used a Dwarven Wizard in Third place. Dwarven Wizard is pretty good in reverse speed rule. It has two abilities called snipe and stun. if stun ability works on the time it helps you to win. In my battle, it did work really well. It stunned the sea monster of my opponent so that monster couldn't attack. It helped me in winning.
Captain's Ghost
I used Captain's Ghost the theme of the week in fourth place. Although it is high mana card I could have used 2 monsters in its place the 7 mana monster in this low mana battle was a bit risky yet it performed well.
Pirate Archer
I used Pirate Archer in fifth place. The only purpose of using this card was it's blast ability.
Albatross
I used Albatross in the last position. I was given healed out rule so there was no usage of Albatross but I use it to fill up the gap. Or to save sneak magic or melee attack. For example, I wanted to use Coral wraith which has sneak magic attack but I couldn't because of low mana cap.
Did My strategy work out?
yes, 100% as you can see the result. Captain's ghost is best against Lord Arianthus. Oppress ability rocks.
