And yes finally I won a battle using level 5 phantasm. Although it couldn't survive so long in the position I set it but yet I figured in what circumstances Phantasm could be a savage monster. Carrie gives us the theme we haven't upgraded yet. But one advantage of doing such challenges is you get to know the worth of different new reward cards. Because we are so busy with our favourite line-ups or monsters that we hardly pay attention to the new cards. If Phantasm wasn't for this week's challenge theme I wouldn't have known the worth of this card. So thank You, Carrie, for making things difficult for us and making us figure out the worth of the different cards. So I am going to tell you guys In what circumstances Phantasm can be the best so, stay tuned and read the post till the end.

Weird looking this creature belongs to Mortis. It's famous about the Mortis that nothing can grow huge except the dark eternal. Phantasm is a mysterious and terrifying creature which came into existence when it wasn't expected. Phantasm in my collection is just level 5. In order to get one win using this card, I lost plenty of points :P Anyways it is what it is. No complaints though.
MY Battle 🏆

I was given a Close range rule. It was pretty obvious my opponent is coming up with earth deck with Prince rennyn. I could have used prince too but I wanted to win a battle using Phantasm. And to counter ranged attack what can be the best? Of course one and only Mimosa Nightshade.
Team selection
Summoner: Mimosa Nightshade
Phantasm: As a defender :P XD
Lord Arianthis: To counter Snipe range
Phantom Soldier: To decrease magic attack.
Fallen Specter: To reduce melee and ranged attack.
Soulstorm: Again to reduce the ranged attack
Cornealus: Just to fill up the Mana :P
Mimosa Nightshade
When it comes to counter ranged attack then nothing can be better than Mimosa nightshade. She provides three amazing abilities to all the friendly monsters such as
Void, -1 ranged attack from all the ranged attack monsters of the enemy team, It does apply affliction to all the enemy monsters. Well, Affliction wasn't needed in this battle as I was given the healed out rule.
Phantasm
I used Phantasm the theme of the week in the first place. Since I was given close range rule I was sure about the ranged attack. Phantasm has a return fire ability which is really great. At max level phantasm gets retaliate ability as well. I really loved its stats.
Stats
So just imagine now when you will use this card along with mimosa Nightshade it will get another ability which is void. Return fire ability is good to counter ranged attack. retaliate will perform against the melee attack and voidability will provide less damage from the magic attack. So now you see how useful this card is? Already loving its stats so I am surely gonna max it asap.
Lord Arianthus
I used a Lord Arianthis in second place. I was expecting snipe ranged attack so I used it in the second place. Because it has shield ability which causes less damage.
Phantom Soldier
I used a Phantom Soldier in Third place. I should have used Cornealus in this place instead of Phantom Soldier. But I was in a hurry because time was running out. I didn't have a choice to go back to change my lineup. But it would have been quite amazing If is used Cornealus in the third place. The reason is when my Phantasm got killed and Lord Arianthus took the first place then Cornealus was the best to counter snipe ranged attack. It has return fire ability that's why.
Fallen Specter
I used Fallen spectre in fourth place. This two mana legendary gives you cool abilities such as it decrease -1 melee attack of your opponent's team, -1 ranged attack. It imposes blind ability to all the opponent's monsters. Which causes plenty of miss shots.
Soulstorm
I used Soulstorm in fifth place. It also decreases -1 ranged attack of your enemy monsters. It has the stun ability in addition to that it provides power pack rang attack
Cornealus
I used Cornealusin last postion. I already mentioned up there I placed it wrong. But Cornealus is indeed a great Untamed legendary Neutral. It has so cool abilities such as Thorn, Return fire, Magic reflect
Did My strategy work out?
yes, 100% as you can see the result. I used it for the first time and I won. I will try to upgrade it asap. I already mentioned the reasons why should we upgrade this card.
