I can't remember when was the last time I switched off my mobile. Not only my mobile, but I also didn't disconnect myself from all the earthly things for very long. Is not this obvious?
We already lost our right to switch off from our busy life, from monitor time and from everything else. It seems like we are in a rush, to achieve, to prove, to fulfill. There's no time to take a break. We always have to be active on the internet, have to respond to emails and messages, even we are on a family tour.
You can look around and will notice the same thing. Everyone's priority became 'work-life'. There's no personal life anymore or become less important. We already lose control.
How can we gain control again?
Well, I think we just have to set a clear line between work and personal life. But it's not always possible, right? So, make your priority list and include the same amount of things in from both of your life.
Give yourself time to think about why you choose one over the other. If you feel to you are doing it right and there's no negative impact then go with it. But if not, make sure to give priority to the other.
However, for a healthy life, I think it's better to make a clear line between work and personal life and know our boundaries. Don't push your work into personal affairs. Don't bring work stress at home. Make it separate and give yourself time to recharge and revive when you are in your personal life.
But make sure, you have done your work properly so no one has to ask you for anything when you enter your personal life. Only then, maybe we can ensure to switch off from our work life.
