I don't usually like the word control because it gives me a negative vibe. But I have to accept that we feel the need to control, we try to control many things. There are actually thousands of things we wish we could control, right? From our emotional status to treading, from our relationship to sports result. But we all know how impossible it is or I would say unnecessary to wish to control things.
But as I have said earlier, we sometimes choose to control things in life. Like our emotional response or our child's activity. What we need to understand while trying to control things is, if it's under our capability or not. If not, then there's no necessity to waste our time focusing on how to control that.
The simplest example could be today's weather. You can't control it no matter how hard you try. You know it but still, you are trying. Is not it foolish? You may say that if you don't know it then what you should do.
Well, I would say, then know your boundary, capability first. And set a strict distinction between what you can control and whatnot. Give your time only what you can control if you want to see the results.
For me, the best way to control our life is to control our reaction. Like our emotion, behavior, and response towards what's happening around. We can't control events but we certainly can control how to react on that.
Give your time to build your emotions and personality. Connect with yourself to know these things better. Yeah, you can choose to control an event if necessary. But check if your time and effort really worth it or not. Otherwise, your whole time will be a waste.
