Art speaks even before we do.
I named this piece Radiant Hope early on, because I was inspired by the calm, reassuring energy in the dogβs eyes. A look that radiates resilience and quiet comfort.
This is my second progress shot and things are starting to come to life.
The art materials I'm using are Marie's soft charcoal pencil, an HB and 4B graphite pencil, tombow monozero eraser and a blending brush.
I first started with a light sketch to map out the features, then gently shaded the background to help the subject stand out and create a sense of depth.
Then I focused on the eyes by building them up slowly, layering graphite to create depth and then added highlights to give them that beautiful shine.
I added depth to the nose and mouth with layered shading, then used soft, feathered strokes on the ears to give them a gentle feel.
This drawing is more than just a cute face. It's a reflection of joy, trust, and quiet strength. Thatβs what Radiant Hope means to me.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Iβd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Much love to you all! β€οΈ
