"Plum Garden"

Plum blossoms are flowers that herald the arrival of spring.
In the past, I used to visit the plum garden at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine every year.
Plum trees of various colors and varieties, including red, white, and pink, bloomed there, and it was truly beautiful.
However, the admission fee kept rising, and when it exceeded 1,000 yen, I gradually stopped going.
I thought I would go again when I had more money, but I ended up peeking at the blooming plum blossoms through the fence.

「梅苑」

梅の花は春を告げる花
昔は毎年のように
北野天満宮の梅苑に通い詰めていた
紅、白、ピンクと
様々な色に様々な品種の梅が咲き
それはそれは美しかった
でも入苑料がどんどん値上がりし
1000円を超えたあたりから
だんだん入らなくなった
またお金に余裕が出来たら入ろう
そう思いながら
フェンスの間から
咲き誇る梅の花を覗いた
