Good afternoon friends hivers, I share my experience this weekend, where I went out with the group of the herd to extrenar Jersey. We started this route in the municipality of Envigado going up the upper transversal until we got to the Las Palmas road; we arrived at the viva which is a shopping center and then we went down to have breakfast for the departures to the municipality of El Retiro, La Ceja and Rionegro, it was just time for breakfast and we also needed to take something hot, because the weather in these parts is quite cold and I didn't take a jacket.
Then we left to take the road to Rionegro and a few meters before the main park, we entered a path called Tablaza, there we stopped in a small tent to hydrate ourselves because the sun was already quite strong, later we found a very nice church and we took advantage of the site to take a good picture.
From there the route became very good, where we had to suffer a lot, because we started to climb a very steep trail plate and so to speak we still had resistance to it, until we reached an open area, the difficult thing was that this part had very thin and loose stone, which made the tire skid and the body had to do more strength to maintain balance. There was a moment when we had to stop to rest and lower the air to the tires to have more grip; this allowed us to climb much easier, however a companion had a damaged tire and another was punctured by a glass. There were two obligatory stops where we exhausted our last hour of water.
In the end we managed to climb to the top of the mountain and where we followed a paved road that would take us to the toll that leads to the airport José María Córdoba and we were already close to the top of the palms where we would continue a little rest, because we had to go down and have very good brakes.
We went down the same initial part, the transversal of Envigado and we stayed in the park where we shared a few beers, others drank soda and ate some empanadas, since we all agreed because it was 4 pm and we had not had lunch and wanted to get home.
It was a great experience, where we suffered, laughed, burned some calories and took some good pictures. The objective was definitely achieved and I am satisfied to go out and do this kind of routes, because it shows that I have increased my level. Buenas tardes amigos hivers, les comparto mi experiencia de este finde semana, dónde salí con el grupo de la manada a extrenar Jersey. Está ruta la empezamos en el municipio de Envigado subiendo por la transversal superior hasta salir a la vía las palmas; llegamos al viva que es un centro comercial y luego bajamos a desayunar las partidas hacia el municipio del Retiro, La Ceja y Rionegro, ya era justo el tiempo del desayuno y también necesitábamos tomar algo caliente, pues el clima por estos lados es bastante frío y no lleve chaqueta.
Luego salimos a tomar la vía hacia Rionegro y unos metros antes del parque principal, nos adentramos a una vereda llamada Tablaza, allí paramos en una pequeña tienda a hidratarnos debido a que el sol ya estaba bastante fuerte, más adelante nos encontramos una iglesia muy bonita y aprovechamos el sitio para tomarnos una buena foto.
De allí se puso muy buena la ruta, donde nos tocó sufrir bastante, debido a que empezamos a subir una placa huella bastante inclinada y por decirlo de alguna forma aún teníamos resistencia para ello; hasta que llegamos a una zona destapada, lo difícil fue que está parte tenía piedra muy delgada y suelta, lo cual hacía patinar la llanta y el cuerpo debía hacer más fuerza para mantener el equilibrio. Hubo un momento que nos tocó parar a descansar y bajarle el aire a las llantas para que tuviera más agarre; esto permitió que se subiera mucho más fácil, sin embargo a un compañero se le daño un neumático y otro se le pincho con un vidrio. Fueron dos paradas obligadas y en donde agotamos nuestra última hora de agua.
Al final logramos subir a la cima de la montaña y donde seguía ya una ruta pavimentada que nos llevaría hasta el peaje que da para el aeropuerto José María Córdoba y ya estábamos cerca al alto de las palmas donde seguiria un poco de descanso, pues ya se debía bajar y tener muy buenos frenos.
Bajamos por la misma parte inicial, la transversal de Envigado y nos quedamos en el parque donde compartimos unas cervezas, otros tomaron gaseosa y comimos unas empanadas, ya que todos nos pusimos de acuerdo debido a que eran las 4 de la tarde y no habíamos almorzado y queríamos llegar a casa.
Fue una gran experiencia, donde se sufrió, donde nos reímos, quemamos algunas calorías y tomamos unas buenas fotos. El objetivo en definitiva se cumplió y me satisface salir hacer este tipo de rutas, porque demuestra que si he aumentado mi nivel.
