The wheels wander on Sunday morning.
Back to my hometown means back to cycling. I've been missing cycling a bit, especially on Sunday mornings. I don’t even remember how long it’s been since the last time I cycled, maybe about a month ago. So because I have a chance, I took out my bycycle, pumped up the tires, and headed off somewhere.
Honestly, the old town area might be my favorite spot to visit on Sunday, but I don’t remember why I went to another direction. I was planning to go to one of the car-free-day areas, but somehow I didn’t take the usual route, so I ended up kind of getting lost :D in my own city, and on a familiar street, I still got lost. It felt like I’d cycled through the same area twice, just because I took the wrong route haha but it was still fun time.
Capturing plants and flowers on the road is somehow quite enjoyable. I don’t know why I took picture of them, as the results weren’t that great, but I thought including them here would be a good idea to look back on the simple memories I’ve creatied. In fact, capturing roadside trees like this only possible when I’m riding a bycycle. Since in day to day I commute with motorbike, so even if I passed the beautiful trees or flowers, I wouldn’t be able to capture it myself.
Those flowers above look much more beautiful in real life–it’s actually has lilac color, but the phone camera captured them as a darker purple. I didn’t complain about getting lost, as it allowed me to enjoying my bike ride a little longer before I reached my destination. I think it took me less than thirty minutes to finally reach the car-free-day area. It’s located at Bungkul Park, one of the most famous park in my city.
It's usually so crowded. People are hanging out and also hunting for food, of course :D there were groups of people doing gymnastics, playing badminton, or even just walking slowly in the middle of the road. Cycling in a car-free-day area sometimes is not that easy because many people are walking slowly along the road, so we as cyclists should respect that. But that’s not a problem at all; quite a lot of people are also cycling freely, even in groups. The white one below with a water bottle is my bike haha I just parked it randomly and went to buy some snacks around the area.
It was a pleasant and much-needed Sunday morning, before starting a regular Monday the next day :D Thanks for reading as always, hope you have a great sunday too! :)
