Surprise Advent Calendar - Hive Advent 🎄

This year, I was wondering whether to buy an advent calendar for myself. I was almost set on getting a smudging advent calendar from a local company but missed the chance to order it. So, December started without an advent calendar for me.

Yesterday, I noticed 22 HIVE in my wallet and thought, "What’s this? Maybe it’s a prize from Beer Saturday or something?" I almost powered it up 😅 Luckily, I checked the transaction history and found it came from @shanibeer, one of my good old Hive friends from @needleworkmonday time. The memo says "hive advent :D"

I remembered seeing it someone's post before. Reading shanibeer’s post, I learned it was a fun idea started by @bozz. The concept is to pass along 25 HIVE, one HIVE at a time, with each recipient passing the rest to someone new.

The Rules

Here’s the rules from Bozz’s post:

• Religion doesn't matter. It doesn't even matter if you celebrate Christmas, this is just something fun I wanted to do.

• Don't be a dick and keep all the HIVE for yourself. The idea is for you to keep one HIVE and then pass the rest on. Be sure you can trust the person you send this to before you send the HIVE.

• Try to wait a day before you send along the remaining HIVE. The idea is that by the time we reach Christmas we are at 1 HIVE left and the last person keeps that. If we blow through all the HIVE before we get to December 5th, that is going to be kind of lame. I mean, if it happens it happens, but let's try to keep it from happening.

• When you send the HIVE please put hive advent in the memo field.

• I don't want to mess up anyone's posting schedule, but try to write a post about when you send the HIVE. Please use the tag #hiveadvent and try to include these rules in the post so the next person knows what to do.

Passing It to @go-kyo - My Crypto Mama Friend

I wanted to choose someone trustworthy, and ideally, send it to a new country. So, I decided on @go-kyo, the founder and admin of Hive JA. We’ve known each other since our days on Stxxxxt since 2016 or 2017. We’ve even met in person in Tokyo. Plus, our kids are about the same age, so I affectionately consider her my "crypto mom friend." 😁

Hive JA is a small but vibrant community. Many members have been around since before the hard fork and boast a reputation score of 70 or higher. Interestingly, most of them are ladies. Recently, we’ve been having fun on Snaps as well. Once Hive JA was on top of the ranking of number of snaps 💪

The HIVE has traveled so far from @bozz to @silversaver888, @elizabethbit, @jayna, @litguru, @macchiata (twice!), @shanibeer, and now to me. It’s such a nice idea — not only do we get a 1 HIVE gift, but we also discover new writers and communities mentioned in the posts. I’m excited to see who gets it next!

びっくりアドベントカレンダー Hive Advent

今年は自分用にアドベントカレンダーを買おうか迷っていて、スマッジングのアドベントカレンダーにほぼ決めかけていたのですが、注文するタイミングを逃してしまいました。そんなこんなでアドベントカレンダーのない12月を送っていました。

昨日Hiveのウォレットを見ると、22HIVEが入っていて、なんだこれ、Beer Saturday の賞金か何かかなと思いつつ、実は危うくパワーアップしかけました 😅 履歴を見てみると、@needleworkmonday からつながった @shanibeer さんから送られてきたもので、メモには「hive advent :D」とありました。気づいてよかった。。

そうそう、そういえばこの企画見たことあるぞ！と shanibeer さんの投稿を読むと、@bozz さんが始めた企画で、25HIVEを1HIVEずつ受け取りながらどんどん次の人に渡していくというものです。

ルール

Bozz さんの投稿からルールを引用して訳しておきます：

• 宗教は関係ありません。クリスマスを祝うかどうかも関係ありません。ただ、これは私が楽しいと思ってやってみたかったことです。
• HIVEを全部とってしまうのはやめてください。1HIVEを受け取って、残りを他の人に回してください。HIVEを送る前に、信頼できる相手であることを確認してください。
• 残りのHIVEを送る前に1日待ってください。クリスマスに1HIVEが残り、その人がそれを受け取るという流れにしたいのです。もし12月5日までにすべてのHIVEがなくなってしまったらちょっと残念です。そうなったら仕方ありませんが、できればそうならないようにしましょう。
• HIVEを送るときは、メモ欄に「hive advent」と記入してください。
• 誰かの投稿スケジュールを乱したくはありませんが、HIVEを送るときにはそのことについて投稿を書いてください。#hiveadventというタグを使い、このルールも投稿に含めてください。次の人が何をすればいいか分かるようにするためです。
