These pictures are from our old house, two years ago, before we moved out. We bought this house when we just got married, and it's our first house too. Anyway, I would like to bring you a little part of our life before. One afternoon, the weather was just perfect, and every evening I already had the hobbits to bring down the kids to play at the playground or park, then after they would go for a swim in the swimming pool. As soon as we got to the pool, their faces lit up with big smiles. My little one quickly grabbed his red bucket and toy. My eldest daughter slowly stepped into the water. They didn’t even wait for me. In seconds, they were already playing and laughing. I sat in the deckchair by the poolside, while watching them. The pool area was full of their laughter filled the air and made me smile. And Bori kept scooping water and pouring it over his head. He laughed so loudly each time. And Arianne stayed close to him, making sure he was safe and having fun. It was such a sweet sight to see. Watching them made me feel so contented. But as I was watching them having so much enjoyment, I suddenly changed my plan and joined them. The water looked so nice, and only we, the people in the pool.
As getting darker, I did not waste time; I quickly changed my swimwear and quickly joined them to the pool. The water was cool and felt really good. When the kids saw me, they both shouted with joy. “Mama, you’re swimming too?” Boris was one, said, eyes wide with excitement. “Yes, I am! You all are having too much fun without me!” I replied, laughing. Right away, we all played together. Boris still poured water on his head, played with the bucket, and we also played splashing each other. The kids is so happy that I joined them. And my lovely children feel even more special. As the sun started to go down, the lights around the pool automatically started to turn on, and it made more beautiful view, and also the water. The water sparkled under the lights, and everything looked so peaceful and beautiful. I lay back in the water for a while, floating and staring up at the sky. It felt so calm and relaxed.
Later, I sat at the edge again, my Doris was still a baby, at that time it was getting cold, so I need to change her into dry clothes, but I still continued watching the kids busy play with water. they are hands were wrinkled from staying in the water too long, but they didn’t want to stop. “Five more minutes, please?” they said. I smiled and said yes,” Ten minutes more! And they all said “yehey.” A normal day full of joy and excitement, swimming with the kids reminded me that little things in life are very special, especially when they are still kids full of energy. These are the memories that stay in my heart, even when they grow up. When we got out of the pool, I wrapped them in towels. We were all wet and tired, but very happy. The kids kept talking about their swimming fun. As we were going back home, I looked at their smiling faces, and I was glad I didn’t just sit and watch. I was glad I joined them. Sometimes, the best moments in life happen when you choose to join the fun. Anyway! Thank you for your patience reading my simple story, and hope you all had fun reading it. See you in my next post.
