Hello there! It's me, Mae!
I hope you all are doing well. Sometimes, the simplest plans turn out to be the most memorable. That’s exactly how our day went when we spontaneously decided to have lunch out as a family. No fuss, no prep—just a fast decision. Hahaha!
It all started with our collective laziness (if I’m being totally honest). No one was in the mood to cook, not even me. We all just looked at each other and silently agreed: “Let’s eat out.” With zero hesitation, we settled on Jollibee. It was the first place that popped into our minds—familiar, comforting, and always reliable when it comes to cravings. Plus, who can say no to Chickenjoy?
So, we rode a jeepney and took a quick 10-minute drive downtown. As expected, the lunchtime crowd had already filled the place. But we didn’t mind. The chatter, the clinking of trays, and even the occasional cry of a baby in the background. It felt alive, like the kind of chaos that makes you feel grounded and grateful all at once.

The line at Jollibee was long, but that didn’t stop us. I volunteered to wait and take our orders while my mom and sisters looked for a table. There’s something comforting about being in line at Jollibee—surrounded by the smell of fried chicken, the "next please!" from the cashiers, and the buzz of people on their lunch breaks. When it was finally my turn, I ordered our usuals: Chickenjoy, spaghetti and a fun kiddie meal for my baby sister.

After a few more minutes, our orders finally arrived. My little sister lit up with joy when she saw her Jollibee Kiddie Meal — you’d think it was her birthday! We snapped a few quick pictures before digging in. The food was warm and comforting, maybe because it had been so long since I last had Jollibee. Haha But if you ask my little sister when she last ate there? Probably just a couple of days ago. I swear she eats Jollibee twice a week! Well, kids love Jollibee and there's always something being a last born.👶

After our hearty meal instead of heading straight home, we decided to cool off at the nearby mall. The air conditioning was a welcome escape from the midday heat. While we wandered through the halls, we came across a small stage display probably set up for an upcoming event—and my baby sister couldn’t resist. She climbed right up, giggling and twirling like she was on her own little runway. I couldn’t help but snap a few photos, her joy was contagious.
We wrapped up our downtown escape with a quick grocery run at the mall to pick up a few essentials. As always, my little sister couldn't resist being a bit cheeky she climbed into the cart and giggled as Mom pushed her down the aisles.
Finally, we headed home with full bellies and fuller hearts. Days like this remind us that joy doesn’t need grand plans or fancy meals. Sometimes, it’s just a craving, a shared laugh, or my little sister’s antics. It’s these small, unplanned moments—with the people you love that truly matter.
Hoping to see you all again! Bye bye! ❤️
