Good morning to all my dear Hive friends!
Yesterday evening, we spent a few precious hours at the serene Thalathuduwa Forest Monastery — a peaceful retreat nestled by the river, surrounded by dense greenery and untouched nature. As the sun began to set on the horizon, the entire area was bathed in a golden glow, creating a truly tranquil and spiritual atmosphere.
We had planned this visit as a break from our usual daily routine, and I was accompanied by my two children, who were both curious and excited to explore this new place. From the moment we arrived, a sense of calm embraced us. The still waters surrounding the monastery reflected the sky like a mirror, and as the day faded, birds quietly made their way to the trees.
We sat on a bench near the water’s edge, silently immersed in the golden light of the approaching sunset. We simply gazed at the scene before us. It wasn’t just beautiful — it was a reminder of how powerful nature and silence can be, especially when shared with the ones you love.
After the sun had set, we shared a simple meal I had packed from home — a few slices of fresh bread filled with boiled eggs. It wasn’t anything fancy, but in that natural setting, it felt just right. The warmth of the bread and the softness of the eggs brought comfort, reminding me how even the simplest food can taste more delicious when enjoyed in a peaceful environment.
As we prepared to leave, the sun had already begun to set — a gentle reminder of the importance of reconnecting with nature and ourselves. That serene evening, with the sunset unfolding before us, gifted us a beautiful view of a vast paddy field along the way. We managed to capture a few photographs of the moment. In the end, I am truly grateful for the simple joys that experience brought us.

Have A nice day.
