Time is flying and I wish we could too because I dread the 12-hour bus drive from Caracas to Puerto Ordaz.
However, given the special ocasión, here we go!
We had many pending errands today and we did not have much time to run them.
We had run out of potable water and the people we pay to get it did not work yesterday. Today, my nephew offered to help me with that.
After he unsuccessfully tried to take his car to the mechanic, he and his wife drove me to a place he usually gets his water from.
After that, we went to a barbershop for me to get a haircut while @manujune got her treatment. She was done about the same time my hair was cut. She and @imabby17 were going to go to the mall for a last-minute errand (provided she felt well and the weather was good).
When we went back to the apartment, it started to rain and @manujune was not feeling 100%
So, I went with @imabby17 and my wife asked me to get some groceries.
I felt really bad about my daughter wanting to buy some clothes and not being able to get them for her. We have so many pending and coming expenses, we must prioritize. On top of that, time was flying and there was not much left to look for good options for what she wanted to buy.
We came back to the apartment by 2:30, had lunch and took a short nap. The bus was leaving at 6.
We took a taxi at 5 but got stuck in traffic.
Luckily, the bus would be late and that allowed us to breathe.
We started boarding at 6:15. It was a mess. As it is customary in our bus terminamos, they are late, mess up with seat numbers, and take forever to figure out how many seats they have available.
On top of that, the two bathrooms in the terminal were closed; not out of service, somebody, a janitor or something, had to go home maybe and locked them, while there were dozens of passengers in need of a restroom.
The bus ended up leaving the city at 6:45, so here we go.
We are looking forward to sharing with @annaky and see her move on to her next academic challenges.
