@annaky is back in Caracas. This time for an academic event organized by the San Ignacio de Loyola schools (she has already posted about some of the preliminary events in Puerto Ordaz and the main national event now in Caracas.
Her delegation arrived on Wednesday night. I was planning to meet her at the place they will be staying (right across the school), but it was almost midnight and she decide against it.
So, we met the next day at the mall before they went on a tour up the Ávila hill.
I would have loved to go with them in that tour, but we we're short in cash (my employers took for ever to pay for the last months of the semester) and My best friend/brother needed some support at the hospital.
Thank goodness his wife underwent a successful procedure to clear her arteries and she is now recovering satisfactorily.
Today, @annaky's Models of United Nations started and we we're allowed to be present.
We are all proud of her. We know how demanding and stressful this event is and we know how hard she has worked to be here.
So far, no report from the first delegation meetings (which we were not allowed to attend), but we are sure she must have done great.
We won't be able to see her tomorrow, since they will be in full throttle with their discussions, debates and deliberations, but on Sunday parents are allowed to accompany all delegations at a mass and later in the afternoon for the closure of the event.
We are looking forward to it. I am very happy that (thanks to the support of many relatives) she has been able to experience the kind of education all Venezuelan children should have access to.
Ironically though, we are now facing some serious difficulties to get her into college, despite her outstanding GDP.
For now, we celebrate her accomplishments and her determination to excell!
