It has been awhile since I blogged here. Busyness in life had taken over since my husband went to Philippines for 12 days for some card show events as well as preaching at 2 different churches there on 2 Sundays. I was looking at my photos' gallery to trace back what I intended to share but had not done so, let's begin the sharing.
Soy Bean Factory
Youngest brother and his wife wanted to come over to have a look at the unit which we siblings joined finance to buy for our parents. It was halfway done renovation and he was curious to see the quality of the work. Before that, he brought us to Soy Bean Factory some dessert and drinks. My brother said it was a treat for me since I had put in months of effort and energy to deal with the contractor on the new unit we purchased. Indeed, it was not an easy job, I gave myself a pat for doing a great job.
Really love the atmosphere here, overall the concept is nature-like as you can see here. Love every section of it. We queued up to order our soy milk drink.
Youngest son was sharing with me a cup of classic soy milk while the eldest tried the black soy bean milk. Both were equally mouth-watering, we could taste the original soymilk because we ordered the ones without sugar.
My brother and his wife shared a bowl of delicious tofufah, aka soy bean curd custard topped with other ingredients. They said it was really nice.
Off we went to see the unit we bought for our parents
It could be concluded 70% renovation done. We opted for the minimal basic renovation because parents preferred simple design. We did the kitchen cabinet, tv cabinet and wardrobes for two rooms.
It was the day the grilles were being installed, we waited there for them to finish doing their job. Hopefully, after everything is done, it will be a cosy place for my parents to retire here. No doubt, they are not ready to leave the small town to come to this busy city called Kuala Lumpur (in Malaysia), but age is catching up, and it is good to stay nearby the children. Generally, year 2025 will be the year they come to realise and then to accept that they will shift to KL. We give them the time to slowly accept it.
After we were done at the condominium, my brother and his wife went to pack simple dinner to dine at my house. They were feeling sleepy and had some great nap at my place.
Impromptu movie and supper
It was out of the blue I checked the movie time for Captain America: Brave New World to see whether was it still available. Lo and behold, we had luck. But then when we reached, we realised it was the more expensive type of cinema hall with Beanie. Opsie. Husband approved after a few minutes of thinking. It was indeed the most expensive cinema/movie we had been to due to the Beanie sitting. God bless our wallets.
After movie, we went for a simple dimsum as supper. I ordered siumai and big fish ball. Eldest son ordered custard bun and foo chow fish ball. The husband ordered tofu stuffed with fish paste and hard-boiled egg stuffed with minced pork.
We reached home really late, at midnight. Everyone was feeling sleepy. We made ourselves clean before ending the day with gratefulness, also a short prayer blessing the husband as that time he was preparing for his Philippines trip.
