Hello, my dear Hivers!
Today, I’m finally sharing with you our Candle Lighting and Pinning Ceremony experience. This is actually the first time our department has ever held this kind of event, and we feel so lucky that our batch got to experience it. A huge thanks to our APS president and their team, I don’t think this would’ve happened without them and their help.
I informed my parents and sisters ahead of time so they could prepare. One thing about my parents, especially my papa, is that he doesn’t like walking in front of people, especially in crowded places, much more if he has to walk up on stage. That is why there was never a moment when I did not remind him of how much I wanted him to come walk with me and mama to pin my nameplate, since this day holds a significant meaning for me. He would try to act nonchalant and say, "Okay, I will try," but I could tell that hearing those words made me smile from within the joy that glistened in my eyes.
By the way, the pinning ceremony was held in the resort, functional hall, Nailon, Bogo City, Cebu between the pinning ceremony. The scheduled time to start was 2:00 pm.
So my papa told us, "Let us leave by 11:00 am because we (mon) plan on going to lunch in Hisoler." Our plan was also to book a cottage, so we could swim after the pinning ceremony.
Now, we left.
On the way, we came across heavy rains, but by the time we reached Bogo City, thankfully it had slowed down for a mild drizzle. We also brought a big umbrella, so it was all good.
On reaching Bogo City, our first stop was a bouquet shop located at Pelaez. We will be going to buy a bouquet for later. But first, there were two options, the cost of a bouquet are 1,500 and the second was ₱ 400. My mother, choose to buy the 1,500 wanted to choose one, but I insisted on ₱ 400 one because P 1,500 was already very expensive for me. After a little convinced, she agreed.
Here are some pictures of their flowers.
A few minutes later, we went to the market to buy snacks, and yes, Mama let me go along with her.
After that, we went to Dela Rama Cakeshop to buy cakes and sweets.
We also bought Chicken Joy and Pork Liempo for our lunch.
A few minutes later, we headed straight to Hisoler Beach Resort. At first, papa forgot which road to turn into and even asked me, but I couldn’t really memorize roads well, so mama was the one who gave us directions.
And finally, we arrived!
The time we arrived, it was around 12 o'clock, and some of my classmates had already arrived.
When we reached there, it was still dripping a little. Papa suggested we just eat inside the car since we were already hungry, and so we did.
And that’s where I’ll end my blog for now, my dear Hivers! Thanks for reading!
