The alarm rang with unusual cruelty at 6:00 am. Usually, at that time I would be deeply asleep, trying to solve the most intricate problems of my life through dreams, but today it was different. It was not a day to sleep, but to create magic. We would record an advertising spot.
The video was to advertise the Festival of amateur artists that was about to start. Dariel would be the custard, Heidi and I the announcer and Mauricio would perform the function of a second camera. The script was simple, because the spot could not have more than 40 seconds.
We had planned this meeting with weeks in advance, and finally the time had come.
We met early in the morning, just when the sun began to look at the horizon and fresh air created a perfect atmosphere to start the day. The meeting place was a coffee that remains in the basements of the hotel "Gran Aston". A place that in quality and price is very good and where enjoying a good cup of coffee is a blessing. The atmosphere was sophisticated, but at the same time cozy, perfect to record our first part of the video.
Before we started recording, we decided to have breakfast. It was important to recharge energies and share a moment of camaraderie before immersing ourselves in creative chaos.
During breakfast, our enthusiasm grew and we began to imagine what the advertising spot would be like. Ideas about shots, dialogues and the energy we wanted to convey began to take shape.
Once we finished breakfast, we got down to work.
We headed to a hotel corner that had an attractive decoration, with soft walls and artistic details that were perfectly aligned with the aesthetics we were looking for. We set up our recording team, a bit improvised but functional: a phone with good camera and another that would function of a portable microphone.
Dariel, was responsible for directing the recording. We started with some test shots, laughing and correcting what did not work. Each error became an opportunity to laugh, creating a relaxed environment that fostered creativity.
To everyone's surprise and without being planned in our last shot, we find some musicians who were nearby. We do not think much and count on our project and if they wanted to participate. They kindly accessed and we were happy because we knew that now if our video would be perfect.
Once we complete the recordings, we decided to go out for some photos and eat something. I had my personal photographer (Dariel) so I take the opportunity to throw photos that will remain for the memory accompanied by good laughs and laughter. To eat, we ask for some pizzas and soft drinks. After a good time we decided to leave because he is late. We were happy because we had managed to capture the essence of our project, but we had also enjoyed an incredible moment together. To close our day with a flourish, Dariel and I enjoyed a movie in the cinema where some tears escaped in the house we had all the material to start editing the spot and when it was finished, almost in unison Dariel and I said:
"Today was a special day"
