Intramurals this year in the University that I'm studying started with a grand parade showcasing the different units inspired by the fantasy drama Encantadia. It's a fun memory being able to enjoy the parade amidst the scorching sun. The walk was long truth be told it was so tiring yet satisfying as well. I've been craving to take a long walk and having my classmates around makes it more enjoyable to create new memories together.
As someone who's not capable of playing sports, All I could ever do when it's Intramurals is chase my long-cherished attendance. It is a must for students to be able to fill out these sheets and it's antagonizing how hard it is to chase around the one that's been holding it that's why I've decided to just join those people who are responsible for handling out those forms so that I'll be able to become useful in intramurals even if it's only for a little bit.
Attendance aside, there were also lots of activities that awaited the participation and enthusiasm of students, one of which was the cheerleading competition wherein those who are talented when it comes to dancing and different acrobatic stances will be able to showcase their capabilities. Every unit had given their very best to compete with each other but the kingdom from Adamya which is from the Hospitality Management has secured its place at the top.
One of the anticipated sports in Intramurals is basketball between females and thus this kind of competition is thrilling to watch since there is never a dull moment whenever it is girls that are playing basketball in my opinion. Girls from our department had been highly competitive even though playing basketball was not our cup of tea since education students tend to prefer having a paper and pencil test than to participate in vigorous activities like basketball but the players from our department prove that Education students are still flexible and always ready to face different adversities.
Even though their resolve to win was unwavering the women from the Industrial Engineering Department probe that tenacity and expertise are valuable points to win a game. I've realized that if I were to be the one playing the game maybe I'd faint even if I'm not being exposed to the court for just ten minutes that's why I can't help but commend the bravery of those women from the Education Department for giving their best even though their opponent was more experienced in playing basketball.
There are still many great events awaiting for this intramurals and the days ahead will all be filled with the battle of wits and strength from the different sports.
