As usual, it was another lovely Sunday, my perfect day of the week. I woke up early and it was cold, so I had to spend some time on the bed before getting up to dress the bed and do a minor cleanup. I took my bath and went to church.
It was a refreshing moment in the house of God. I met friends I had not seen for some days and weeks. We sang, danced, and there was joy in the atmosphere. The message was powerful. After the service, we had a brief departmental meeting, and after the meeting, I left. I got home, ate, relaxed, checked my phone to respond to some chats, and did a few other things.
By 4 p.m., it was time for another big event of the day. It was our Rotary meeting day, and not just the usual regular Sunday meeting, but the day leadership positions would be changed. In Rotary, the leadership tenure of each team lasts for one year, after which another set of elected and appointed leaders takes over to run the affairs of the club for the next year.
Today's meeting was fun. We sang some Rotary songs, shared pleasantries, met, greeted, and welcomed new friends. The handing over was done and everything went well. We took photos and had fun.
It was time to go, so I left the meeting venue. Since it was Sunday and my usual sit-out day, I stopped by a lovely spot to enjoy the cool fresh air and good music. As it got darker, I returned home to rest and prepare for work the next day. It was indeed a great day.
