Yo estoy muy muy feliz porque el día 11/07 fue la presentación del ante proyecto de mí hermano mayor, mi cómplice. Esto ha sido un largo proceso y estoy feliz de que esté avanzando, así que les contaré un poco de lo que fue este gran día.

I hope you are all doing well✨.
I am thrilled because on July 11th, my older brother, my partner in crime, presented his preliminary project. It has been a long process, and I am happy that it is moving forward, so I will tell you a little bit about this great day.
La hora que le dieron para presentar fue a las 8:30 AM, menos mal, temprano para salir de eso temprano.
Así que emprendimos nuestro viaje, nuestro destino era la UDO (Universidad de Oriente) pero la sede que está ubicada en Juanico, es decir, debíamos tomar 2 buses o carros para llegar, así que salimos de acá a las 6:40 AM, si, bien temprano, cosas de gente que vive en la Zona Industrial.
Yo nunca había ido a la sede Juanico, así que estuve sorprendida con la estructura de acá y los alrededores tan bonitos por la zona, había muchas palmeras y urbanizaciones lindas rodeando la UDO.
The time they gave him to present was 8:30 AM, thank goodness, early so we could get out of there early.
So we set off on our journey. Our destination was the UDO
(Universidad de Oriente), but the campus is located in Juanico, which meant we had to take two buses or cars to get there, so we left here at 6:40 a.m. Yes, very early, but that's how it is for people who live in the industrial zone.
I had never been to the Juanico campus, so I was surprised by the structure here and the beautiful surroundings in the area. There were many palm trees and nice neighborhoods surrounding the UDO.

Sin embargo sigue estando muy solo todo, lamentablemente las universidades en mi país no son prioridad y la UDO hace mucho que dejó de ser lo que era antes, me da un poco de tristeza, ojalá algún día vuelva la vida estudiantil.
Llegamos temprano, eran las 7:50 aproximadamente, lo que nos dio tiempo para tomarnos unas fotos en el muro de Ingeniería Agronómica, que es lo que está estudiando mí hermano.
Aquí estuvimos esperando al profesor tutor de mi hermano, que también llegó temprano y luego los jurados.
However, it is still very lonely. Unfortunately, universities in my country are not a priority, and the UDO has long since ceased to be what it once was. It makes me a little sad. I hope that one day student life will return.
We arrived early, at approximately 7:50 a.m., which gave us time to take some photos at the Agricultural Engineering wall, which is what my brother is studying.
We waited there for my brother's tutor, who also arrived early, and then the judges.

Entramos a la sala de presentación para preparar todo, me había llevado mi laptop que ha sido una guerrera, tiene 8 años conmigo y está casi más allá que acá, pero dió la talla, hizo el trabajo, pudimos reproducir la presentación de mi hermano sin problemas.
Una vez instalado todo, después de 10 padres nuestros y muchas repasadas, finalmente dimos inicio.
El proyecto de mi hermano trata sobre la Parchita, una fruta sumamente popular y utilizada en mí país tropical, mi hermano se desenvolvió demasiado bien, era la primera vez que lo veía exponer y estaba muy sorprendida y orgullosa de su trabajo.
Al terminar, tuvo una ronda de preguntas aunque no fueron muchas y pequeñas acotaciones o correcciones, que tampoco fueron muchas.
We went into the presentation room to get everything ready. I had brought my laptop, which has been a workhorse for me for eight years and is almost beyond repair, but it rose to the occasion and did the job. We were able to play my brother's presentation without any problems.
Once everything was set up, after 10 Our Fathers and many rehearsals, we finally began.
My brother's project is about passion fruit, a very popular fruit used in my tropical country. My brother did very well. It was the first time I had seen him give a presentation, and I was very surprised and proud of his work.
When he finished, there was a round of questions, although there weren't many, and a few small comments or corrections, which weren't many either.

Todos lo felicitaron y halagaron el jugo de parchita que hizo mi papá para que compartiéramos, también llevamos galletas para comer.
Estuvimos compartiendo con los profesores y luego, aproximadamente a las 10:30 AM nos fuimos a celebrar a casa de mi madrina, pero esto se los contaré luego.
Estoy muy feliz y contenta de que mi hermano esté terminando esta etapa tan larga de su vida, esta carrera es la más larga de la UDO y él ha tenido muchos inconvenientes a lo largo de su carrera, pero no es imposible y sé que lo logrará, cada vez falta menos, este es el primer paso, así que vamos por más.

Everyone congratulated him and praised the passion fruit juice my dad made for us to share. We also brought cookies to eat.
We spent some time with the teachers and then, at around 10:30 a.m., we went to celebrate at my godmother's house, but I'll tell you about that later.
I am very happy and glad that my brother is finishing this long stage of his life. This degree program is the longest at UDO, and he has had many difficulties throughout his career, but it is not impossible, and I know he will succeed. There is less and less left to go. This is the first step, so let's take it further.
