A new week begins, and with it the work commitments that always accompany us and challenge us to be better. I hope your week has started happily, full of good energy, and above all, very productively. For our part, we are starting with an important and very precise task: the chlorination of the 2 million liter tank of water treated by the desalination plant at the SUNSOL Ecoland Hotel.
Una nueva semana comienza y con ella los compromisos de trabajo que siempre nos acompañan y nos retan a ser mejores. Espero que la semana de ustedes haya comenzado feliz, llena de buena energía y, sobre todo, muy productiva. Por nuestra parte, empezamos con una tarea importante y muy precisa; la cloración del tanque de 2 millones de litros de agua tratada por la planta desalinizadora del Hotel SUNSOL Ecoland.
This commitment is part of our regular work, but this week had a special touch. Our son, who usually takes care of the company's IT and accounts, decided to accompany us on the tour. His presence was a very pleasant surprise. Although he is extremely efficient and serious in his office work, this time he wanted to learn more about the operational side of our work in the field.
We left home very early because SUNSOL Ecoland is quite a distance away, in the municipality of Gómez, specifically in the Pedro González sector. This tour is one of my favorites, not only because of the activity itself, but also because of the natural beauty that surrounds it. The area is rich in landscapes, the vegetation is vibrant, and the weather on this occasion was particularly splendid. Sometimes I feel that words are not enough to describe what you see there. Gentle mountains, roads lined with leafy trees.
Este compromiso forma parte de nuestras labores habituales, pero esta semana tuvo un toque especial. Nuestro hijo, quien habitualmente se encarga de la parte informática de la compañía y también de manejar las cuentas, decidió acompañarnos en el recorrido. Su presencia fue una sorpresa muy agradable. Aunque él es sumamente eficiente y serio en su trabajo de oficina, quiso esta vez conocer más sobre la parte operativa que realizamos en el campo.
Salimos muy temprano de casa, porque SUNSOL Ecoland se encuentra a bastante distancia, en el municipio Gómez, específicamente en el sector Pedro González. Este recorrido es uno de mis favoritos, no solo por la actividad en sí, sino por la belleza natural que lo rodea. La zona es generosa en paisajes, la vegetación es vibrante y el clima en esta ocasión estaba particularmente espléndido. A veces siento que las palabras no alcanzan para describir lo que se ve allí. Montañas suaves, caminos bordeados por árboles frondosos.
Upon arriving at the hotel, as is customary, we identified ourselves and proceeded to the office to wait for the assigned quality control technician. Mondays are typically meeting days, which complicates logistics; therefore, we had to wait approximately 45 minutes until the assigned colleague was available.
Al llegar al hotel, como es de protocolo, nos identificamos y nos dirigimos a la oficina para esperar al técnico de control de calidad asignado. Los lunes suelen ser días de reuniones y eso complica la logística; por lo tanto, tuvimos que esperar alrededor de 45 minutos hasta que la compañera asignada estuviera disponible.
Once we met up with her, we went to the tank. We checked the digital scale that indicates the exact amount of water it contains, and based on that reading, we carried out the chlorination procedure. We used our reagents to verify that everything was in order and that the treatment was carried out with the required precision. Before leaving the tank, we checked all the values again and completed the technical report. Once the work was finished, we submitted our invoice.
Una vez reunidos con ella, fuimos hasta el tanque. Observamos la báscula digital que indica la cantidad exacta de agua que contiene, y en función de esa lectura realizamos el procedimiento de cloración. Utilizamos nuestros reactivos para comprobar que todo estuviera en orden y que el tratamiento se hiciera con la precisión requerida. Antes de bajar del tanque, revisamos todos los valores nuevamente y completamos el informe técnico. Finalizado el trabajo, entregamos nuestra factura correspondiente.
It was already quite late, but as usual at the end of our work, we gathered for a snack to share our impressions and evaluate whether there were any aspects of our routine that could be improved. This time, since it was the first time our son had accompanied us in the field, we decided to take him to see a special place: a spot on the coast where the sea looks majestic, with very calm waters and air that renews the spirit. It was a moment of connection between family and nature.
Ya era bastante tarde, pero como de costumbre al finalizar nuestras labores, nos reunimos a merendar para compartir impresiones y evaluar si hay aspectos que podemos mejorar en la rutina. Esta vez, al ser la primera ocasión que nuestro hijo nos acompaña en campo, decidimos llevarlo a conocer un rincón especial; un punto del litoral donde el mar se ve majestuoso, con aguas muy tranquilas y un aire que renueva todo el ánimo. Fue un momento de conexión familiar y naturaleza.
After enjoying that moment by the sea, we started our way back. We passed through Tacarigua, a very picturesque town, known for its cleanliness and order. There, I was able to take some photos, which I would like to share with you in another post, so that you can also appreciate its charm.
