Hello good people on hive...
One of the benefits my company offers is the ability to claim glasses. However, before claiming glasses, we are required to have our nearsightedness checked. Yup, I don't know why my nearsightedness has increased as I've gotten older; oddly enough, my eyes have different levels of nearsightedness. This is sad news, whether it's genetics or an unhealthy lifestyle.
So, the other day, I had my nearsightedness checked at Jakarta Hospital. I wanted to replace my glasses. I'd never claimed that benefit during my time at work, so now was the time to use it.
This was my first time at Jakarta Hospital, which has an eye specialist unit. It was a recommendation from a coworker. I trusted her, so I went there. It was Friday and still lunchtime, so I didn't see many staff there. I was a bit confused when I first entered the eye specialist unit. I went back and forth until I finally found the receptionist to register for an examination.
After registering, I waited in the waiting room. There wasn't a long line, but I still had to wait because there would be several checkups before finally consulting with an eye doctor. At first, I was confused. I just wanted to know my nearsightedness, so why did I need to see a doctor?
Apparently, I'd made a mistake registering. I should have just said I needed a nearsightedness check, not an eye exam. They would have treated my complaint as urgent. Hmm, but that's totally okay. That way, I knew what to do.
When I met with the eye doctor, I was given advice—a kind of self-therapy. I was instructed to cover one of my eyes—the one with the least nearsightedness—my left eye for two hours a day. This would make my right eye—the one with the most nearsightedness—work harder. It had always seemed reluctant to see, as my left eye was quite helpful. I was advised to buy an eye patch.
In this age, we really need to be more aware of our health. From this, I understand that I need therapy and medication—my eye doctor has prescribed it, so I can take it daily. However, because it's quite expensive, I've started to cut back. Maybe I'll do it again someday. May be later I should take an action, for axample--lasik for my right eye...
How about you guys?
Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
